Team members work with modern AWS technologies and collaborate with innovative companies across diverse sectors.Role Description The Head of AI is a full-time, hybrid role based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Some remote work is possible, but this is not a remote position: the role requires regular on-site work at customer premises across the UAE, including working directly alongside client teams during key phases of the program. You will own CloudSoftway’s AI strategy end to end, from setting the technical roadmap to personally leading the design, fine-tuning, and deployment of production AI systems on AWS. This is a hands-on role. You will be expected to review architectures and code, solve hard model and memory problems yourself when needed, and set the engineering standard for the data scientists and ML engineers you lead. You will work closely with our cloud architecture and engineering teams to turn Generative AI into reliable, secure, cost-efficient solutions for customers, and you will be the senior technical voice in front of client stakeholders. You will also define responsible and secure AI practices, keep the team ahead of a fast-moving field, and represent CloudSoftway’s AI expertise publicly.What we require (non-negotiable)You have personally developed AI systems and shipped them to production. Not supervised it, not read about it: done itDeep Python and hands-on experience with PyTorch, Hugging Face (Transformers, PEFT, TRL) or equivalent5+ years in ML/AI engineering, with at least 2 years working directly on LLMs or Generative AIProven technical leadership: you have hired, mentored and set the engineering bar for othersStrong advantagesExperience with data privacy and sovereignty requirements in regulated environmentsPublished work, open-source contributions, or public repos showing your LLM workExperience delivering in the UAE or GCC
