Head of Product & Engineering

POPCORN Studio is an AI creative platform focused on advertising and video production. We are hiring a Head of Product & Engineering to lead our product from strategy and discovery through requirements, development, launch and continuous improvement. This is a full-time, on-site leadership role in Dubai, working directly with the CTO.THE ROLEYou will turn business goals and customer needs into a clear roadmap, build actionable requirements and lead the team through delivery. You must combine strong product judgment with sufficient engineering depth to challenge technical proposals, resolve dependencies and hold a high bar for software quality. This is a hands-on leadership role with accountability for outcomes and execution.RESPONSIBILITIES

• Own the product roadmap and prioritize work against customer value, business goals and delivery capacity.
• Lead discovery, clarify user journeys and translate ideas into briefs, specifications, user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Work with design and engineering to define scope, technical dependencies, milestones and release plans.
• Lead the product and engineering delivery process, unblock the team and make clear trade-offs on scope, quality and timing.
• Review technical proposals with engineering leads, including APIs, integrations, data flows and asynchronous processing.
• Define release readiness, coordinate QA and acceptance testing, and follow through on launch issues.
• Set measurable success criteria and use customer feedback, analytics and experiments to improve activation, retention and product quality.
• Establish clear documentation, ownership and concise reporting so the team can execute independently.
• Help recruit, coach and develop a strong product and engineering team.REQUIREMENTS
• Demonstrated ownership of a software product from discovery and requirements through engineering delivery and launch.
• Experience leading software engineers and collaborating closely with design, QA and business stakeholders.
• Strong technical foundations from software engineering, technical product leadership or an equivalent hands-on background.
• Ability to discuss architecture, APIs, integrations, databases, reliability and technical debt with engineers and make informed trade-offs.
• A track record of shipping production SaaS or digital products with measurable outcomes.
• Excellent written requirements, prioritization, communication and independent follow-through.
• Professional written and spoken English.
• Willingness to work full-time from our Dubai office, relocating if needed.PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
