HSE Construction Specialist- Oil and Gas onlyBased in Dubai Excellent Day rate offered- One year contractWe are seeking an experienced HSE Construction Specialist to support construction activities for a major onshore oil and gas project in the UAE.The successful candidate will provide Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) guidance to project teams and contractors, ensuring construction activities are executed in accordance with established HSE management systems, applicable regulatory requirements and industry best practices.ResponsibilitiesProvide HSE guidance and support to project management teams, site personnel and contractors throughout construction activities.Monitor contractor compliance with HSE standards, procedures and project-specific safety requirements.Promote a strong risk management and safety culture across construction sites.Support the implementation of Permit-to-Work (PTW) systems, risk assessments, toolbox talks and critical safety procedures.Conduct site inspections, HSE audits and compliance verification activities, documenting findings and following up on corrective actions.Deliver HSE inductions, training and safety briefings to site personnel and contractors.Support incident reporting, investigation, root cause analysis and the implementation of preventive measures.Assist with emergency response planning, drills and site emergency preparedness.Monitor and report contractor HSE performance, maintain accurate records and contribute to HSE meetings and improvement initiatives.Maintain a strong site presence to ensure construction activities are carried out safely and in accordance with applicable requirements.Requirements7–10 years of relevant HSE experience, preferably within onshore oil and gas construction projects.Recognised HSE qualification, such as a NEBOSH Certificate or Diploma.Experience supporting construction activities throughout the project execution phase.Strong working knowledge of HSE management systems, contractor safety management, Permit-to-Work procedures, risk assessments and incident investigation.Experience conducting site inspections, audits, safety inductions and contractor compliance monitoring.UAE or wider regional project experience is an advantage.
