Leasing Executive

We are looking for an experienced Leasing Executive with a strong background in real estate leasing, particularly retail store leasing within shopping malls/ commercial and residential properties. The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience coordinating with mall management teams, negotiating commercial lease terms, managing lease documentation, and handling the leasing process for retail outlets.Mandatory Requirement: Previous experience in real estate leasing is essential, preferably involving shopping mall leasing, retail store openings, and coordination with mall management.

Key Responsibilities

Identify and evaluate suitable retail locations within shopping malls and other commercial properties for new store openings.Coordinate with mall management teams regarding leasing opportunities, rental proposals, lease negotiations, and commercial terms.Manage the end-to-end leasing process, including enquiries, site visits, proposals, negotiations, approvals, and lease execution.Liaise with mall leasing departments, landlords, property managers, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth coordination.Review lease agreements, tenancy contracts, renewal terms, rental escalations, security deposits, and other commercial conditions.Handle lease renewals, amendments, terminations, and documentation within the required timelines.Coordinate with mall management for store handover, fit-out approvals, access permits, signage approvals, and other requirements related to new retail outlets.Maintain an updated tracker of lease agreements, expiry dates, renewal deadlines, rental payments, and contractual obligations.Monitor rental terms and occupancy costs and support negotiations to achieve commercially favourable leasing arrangements.Coordinate internally with the Real Estate, Operations, Finance, Legal, and Projects teams to facilitate store openings and ongoing leasing requirements.Maintain professional relationships with mall management teams and landlords to explore new leasing opportunities.Prepare leasing reports, market comparisons, rental analysis, and management updates as required.

Requirements

Mandatory: Proven work experience in real estate leasing.Previous experience in retail leasing, particularly leasing stores or retail units in shopping malls, is highly preferred.Hands-on experience coordinating with mall management and leasing departments is essential for this role.Good understanding of commercial lease agreements, rental structures, lease renewals, and retail tenancy requirements.Strong negotiation, communication, coordination, and documentation skills.Ability to manage multiple leasing projects, deadlines, and stakeholder relationships simultaneously.Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, for maintaining lease trackers and preparing reports.
