Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer

About the role Assist in Coordinating all aircraft maintenance performed in accordance with applicable technical data and regulations. The successful candidate will carry out and certify aircraft maintenance, troubleshoot defects, coordinate maintenance activities and support technician supervision. This role requires a GCAA AME license, relevant helicopter type ratings and Bell helicopter maintenance experience.ResponsibilitiesSupervision and training of Line Maintenance and Aircraft Technicians.Deputizing as Maintenance Supervisor in his absence when requested.Acting as Shift Supervisor when required.Ensuring that all tasks carried out are correctly documented and certified.Ensuring that all tasks are progressively signed off on completion.Maintaining their work area in a clean and tidy condition.Ensuring that they read and sign Reading Logs in a timely manner.Carrying out and certifying Base Maintenance, Line Maintenance and Component Shop tasks in accordance with regulations, technical data and company procedures.Carrying out troubleshooting and rectification of defects in accordance with regulations, technical data and company procedures.Issuing Certificates of Release to Service on satisfactory completion of maintenance and repair.Carrying out independent inspections as required.Reading the relevant MSDS/SDS before using hazardous materials.Ensuring that correct PPE is worn at all times.Complying with all EHSMS, QMS, Compliance & SMS requirements.Key Skills Required A valid UAE GCAA Aircraft Maintenance Engineer license is mandatory.A minimum of three years’ post-AME-license experience with a similar helicopter maintenance organisation.Relevant helicopter type rating(s) appropriate to the aircraft assigned to the role.Bell helicopter maintenance experience is required.Experience working within a CAR 145-approved maintenance organization.A Technical Aviation Maintenance Diploma or relevant aviation maintenance training certificates.Relevant aircraft type-training certification.Training in Safety Management Systems and Human Factors.Sound knowledge of aircraft maintenance programmes, helicopter structures, systems and components.
