Maintenance Technician

Key ResponsibilitiesCafé & Restaurant Equipment MaintenancePerform preventive and corrective maintenance on coffee machines, grinders, ovens, microwaves, dishwashers, refrigerators, freezers, ice machines, and other food-service equipment.Diagnose equipment failures and carry out repairs to minimize operational downtime.Coordinate with external service providers for specialized repairs when required.Maintain records of equipment maintenance, repair history, and warranty information.Plumbing & Water SystemsRepair and maintain water supply lines, drainage systems, sinks, faucets, water heaters, pumps, and related plumbing fixtures.Detect and resolve water leaks, blockages, and pressure issues.Monitor water filtration systems used for café equipment.Electrical & HVAC MaintenanceConduct basic electrical troubleshooting for lighting, sockets, switches, and equipment power connections.Support maintenance of air conditioning, ventilation, and exhaust systems.Ensure all electrical and mechanical systems operate safely and efficiently.Preventive MaintenanceExecute preventive maintenance schedules for all stores, cafés, kitchens, and facilities.Conduct routine inspections and identify potential equipment failures before breakdowns occur.Ensure maintenance tools and spare parts inventory are properly managed.Health, Safety & ComplianceFollow company safety policies and local regulatory requirements.Ensure equipment and facilities comply with food safety and hygiene standards.Report any safety risks and take corrective actions when necessary.General MaintenanceSupport carpentry, painting, minor civil works, and general facility repairs.Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests.Assist during new store openings, renovations, and refurbishment projects.QualificationsDiploma or Technical Certificate in Mechanical, Electrical, Electromechanical, Refrigeration, HVAC, or related field.3-5 years of maintenance experience within cafés, restaurants, hotels, QSR, or retail environments.Experience with commercial coffee machines and food-service equipment preferred.SkillsTroubleshooting and fault diagnosis.Plumbing and water systems maintenance.Basic electrical maintenance.HVAC and refrigeration knowledge.Preventive maintenance planning.Vendor and contractor coordination.Strong problem-solving skills.Ability to work independently and manage multiple locations.KPIsEquipment uptime percentage.Preventive maintenance completion rate.Average maintenance response time.Maintenance cost control.Number of recurring equipment failures.Health & Safety compliance score.
