Management Accountant / Finance Analyst City of London | Hybrid - 3 days in the office | Part-QualifiedYour new companyYou will be joining an established insurance firm based in the City of London, close to Fenchurch Street. The business offers a professional and collaborative working environment with excellent exposure across finance and the wider organisation. They operate a hybrid working model, with three days per week in the office.Your new role As a Management Accountant / Finance Analyst, you will join a supportive finance team and take responsibility for a combination of management accounting, reporting and financial analysis.Key responsibilities will include:Assisting with the preparation of monthly management accounts, including journals, accruals and prepayments.Completing balance sheet reconciliations and supporting the month-end close.Preparing financial analysis and commentary on performance against budgets and forecasts.Supporting budgeting and forecasting processes, including variance analysis.Producing management information and reporting for senior stakeholders.Partnering with stakeholders across the business to provide financial insight and support decision-making.Supporting ad hoc projects and improvements across the finance function.What you'll need to succeedPart-qualified and actively studying towards ACCA, CIMA or an equivalent accounting qualification.Previous experience within insurance or financial services is essentialPrevious experience within a Management Accountant, Finance Analyst or similar role.Good understanding of month-end processes, including journals, accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations.Strong analytical skills with experience producing variance analysis, budgets and forecasts.Confident Excel skills with the ability to analyse and interpret financial data.Strong communication skills and the confidence to work with stakeholders across the wider business.What you'll get in return You will receive a competitive salary and benefits package alongside study support towards your professional qualification.
