Sustainability Consultant

Sustainability Specialist We are seeking an experienced Sustainability Specialist to guide sustainable building design from concept through to post-occupancy, delivering energy-efficient, low-carbon projects and successful green building certifications. Key Responsibilities - Develop project sustainability strategies covering passive design, net-zero carbon, sustainable materials and resource efficiency. - Manage green building certifications, including LEED, WELL, Estidama, BREEAM, Fitwel and GSAS, from assessment through final submission. - Perform building energy modelling, daylighting, thermal comfort, water efficiency and renewable energy assessments. - Conduct embodied and whole-life carbon assessments using One Click LCA or equivalent tools. - Advise clients and multidisciplinary design teams, lead sustainability workshops and ensure compliance with local sustainability regulations. - Support environmental assessments, waste management strategies, technical proposals and the development of internal guidelines. - Mentor junior team members and promote sustainable design across project disciplines. Essential Requirements - Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Architectural Engineering, Environmental Engineering or Architecture - Minimum 8 years of hands-on sustainability consultancy experience. - LEED AP BD+C, WELL AP and Estidama Pearl Qualified Professional (PQP) credentials. - Experience with Al Sa’fat requirements and local green building regulations. - Advanced proficiency in IES VE, with experience using One Click LCA and LEED Online. - Advanced MS Excel skills and experience with Revit. - Strong technical analysis, communication and project coordination skills. Preferred - Master’s degree in Sustainable Design, Environmental Engineering or a related discipline. - Chartered status, such as CEng or CEnv. - Experience with a reputable design consultancy, delivering sustainability strategies, certifications and building performance analysis on notable projects.
