We're looking for a Management Accountant to join our UK & Ireland Controlling function at ISS, supporting financial performance, reporting, and strategic decision-making across key business areas.This is a high-visibility role, offering regular interaction with senior stakeholders and the opportunity to influence commercial outcomes through insight, control, and process improvement.The RoleAs Management Accountant, you’ll be responsible for supporting financial reporting, cost control, and risk management across multiple contracts. Working closely with the Business Unit Controller, you’ll help deliver accurate financials and support consistency across the finance function.You’ll also provide commercial insights and value-added reporting to senior leadership, supporting regular business reviews and contributing to ISS’s continued growth and operational excellence.Key ResponsibilitiesOwn monthly management accounts across multiple contracts and profit centres, providing clear insight into financial performance, profitability and key cost drivers.Lead month-end activities, including accruals, prepayments, revenue adjustments and balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.Analyse actuals against budget and forecast, investigating variances, identifying underlying performance trends and recommending corrective actions.Business partner with Key Account Managers, operational teams and Finance Business Partners to review contract performance, challenge assumptions and drive financial accountability.Monitor contract profitability, revenue, costs and margins, identifying risks and opportunities to improve financial performance and service delivery.Review aged receivables, billing issues and open purchase orders, working with operational teams to improve cash flow and financial control.Support working capital and fixed asset management, ensuring appropriate financial oversight across assigned contracts.Maintain robust financial controls and data integrity in line with UK&I and Group reporting standards.Support internal and external audits, including Financial Controls & Assurance reviews, ensuring compliance and strong financial governance.Deliver actionable financial reporting and performance analysis to support commercial decision-making, contract reviews and continuous improvement.What You’ll NeedFully qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA or equivalent)Experience in a Management Accounting or Financial Controlling roleBackground in a contract-based, commercial, or service-led environment is desirableStrong commercial awareness and ability to work with non-finance stakeholdersExcellent Excel and data interpretation skillsStrong attention to detail, with the ability to prioritise in a fast-paced environmentConfident communicator with strong analytical and reporting capabilitiesWhy Join ISS?ISS is a global leader in workplace experience and facilities management, with over 350,000 employees worldwide.
