Tailor my CV for this job — freeAbout the RoleWe are implementing MariApps ERP across our fleet and are looking for a Marine ERP Executive to support the implementation, standardization, and continued development of the system across our vessels and shore organization. This is not a conventional IT support position. We are looking for someone who understands both sides of the requirement:Marine: vessel machinery, equipment, planned maintenance, spares, technical documentation, certification, Class/Flag/statutory requirements, and actual onboard working practices.ERP: MariApps/PMS functionality, master data, equipment hierarchy, maintenance jobs, workflows, testing, troubleshooting, implementation, and user support. The successful candidate will act as the technical and functional link between our vessels, shore-based teams, and the MariApps ERP provider, ensuring that operational and regulatory requirements are correctly translated into the ERP system.Key Responsibilities1. MariApps ERP Implementation & SupportSupport implementation and rollout of MariApps ERP across the fleet.Work closely with vessel teams, Technical Superintendents, Operations, Procurement, and other shore departments.Act as a key interface between the organization and ERP provider.Translate practical vessel requirements into clear ERP functional requirements.Coordinate system configuration, testing, implementation, and improvements.Develop and execute realistic test scenarios for marine ERP/PMS workflows.Identify system bugs, configuration issues, and process gaps.Coordinate corrective actions with the ERP provider and verify solutions through retesting.Maintain and follow up ERP issues, enhancement requests, and system improvements through closure.Support migration, validation, and standardization of ERP master data.2. Planned Maintenance SystemDevelop, review, and improve vessel machinery/equipment registers and PMS structures.Establish appropriate equipment hierarchy and parent-child relationships.Review equipment maintenance requirements against: OEM manuals and recommendationsClassification Society requirementsFlag State requirementsStatutory requirementsInternational marine regulationsCompany maintenance standardsVessel-specific operational requirementsReview calendar-based, running-hour-based, condition-based, and statutory maintenance routines.Ensure critical equipment and associated maintenance requirements are appropriately identified and configured.Support management of overdue maintenance, deferred jobs, breakdown maintenance, and maintenance history.3. Vessel & Shore User SupportSupport Masters, Chief Engineers, Second Engineers, and vessel personnel in effective use of MariApps.Assist Technical Superintendents and other shore users with ERP/PMS functionality.Investigate problems raised by vessels and determine whether they arise from: system functionality, system configuration, master data, incorrect workflow, oruser practices.Provide practical training and guidance to vessel and shore personnel.Develop user guides, standard procedures, and good practices for using the ERP/PMS.Promote consistent ERP usage and data quality across the fleet. The successful candidate must be able to convert:Vessel technical requirement → Maintenance / compliance requirement → MariApps configuration → Testing → Implementation → Vessel feedback → ClosureCandidate ProfileEssentialDegree/Diploma in Marine Engineering or equivalent marine technical qualification.Sailing experience in the engine department.Strong practical understanding of vessel machinery and maintenance.Good working knowledge of marine Planned Maintenance Systems.Practical experience using marine ERP/PMS applications.Understanding of machinery maintenance schedules, equipment hierarchy, maintenance history, spares, and technical documentation.Familiarity with Class, Flag, statutory, and international regulatory requirements.Ability to work effectively with marine personnel as well as ERP/software teams.Strong troubleshooting, documentation, communication, and coordination skills.Ability to independently understand a vessel-side problem and convert it into a clear ERP requirement.Strongly PreferredHands-on experience with MariApps ERP/PMS.Marine Engineer with Second Engineer or Chief Engineer sailing experience.Experience developing or maintaining PMS master data rather than only using PMS for job completion.Previous shore-based experience in fleet technical management, ERP/PMS implementation, or marine technical support.Experience participating in an ERP implementation, data migration, system rollout, or major PMS improvement project.Experience with offshore vessels, particularly DP2 AHTS, would be advantageous. What We Are Specifically Looking ForWe are not looking for a generic IT support or software engineer who happens to have worked with an ERP system. The ideal candidate is a marine engineer who understands how machinery is actually maintained onboard and who can convert that knowledge into an effective MariApps/PMS structure.Ideal CandidateYou may be a particularly strong fit if you can confidently answer yes to most of these questions:Have you sailed as a Marine Engineer? Can you understand an engine-room machinery manual and convert OEM maintenance recommendations into PMS jobs?Do you understand running-hour, calendar, condition-based, and statutory maintenance? Can you build or review an equipment hierarchy?Do you understand critical equipment and critical spares?Have you worked hands-on with MariApps?Have you created, corrected, or maintained PMS master data?Do you understand the relationship between machinery maintenance, Class/Flag/statutory requirements, surveys, and certification? Can you work directly with an ERP provider to explain a marine requirement, test their solution, and confirm whether it works in practice? Can you train vessel personnel to use an ERP/PMS correctly? Why This Role MattersERP implementation in a marine organization is not simply a software project. The quality of the system ultimately depends on the quality of the marine technical information, maintenance philosophy, master data, workflows, and user practices behind it.This position will therefore play an important role in ensuring that MariApps becomes a practical fleet-management tool rather than simply a system for recording transactions. The individual will have significant interaction with vessels, Technical Superintendents, management, and the ERP provider and will help establish the long-term standard for ERP/PMS usage across the fleet.Application RequirementsInterested candidates should submit an updated CV clearly indicating:Marine Engineering qualification and Certificate of Competency, if applicable.Total sea-going experience.Highest rank sailed.Vessel types worked on.ERP/PMS systems used.Specific MariApps experience, including modules used.Experience with PMS master-data creation or modification.Experience with ERP implementation, migration, testing, or rollout.Shore-based marine/technical experience, if any.Current location and availability.Candidates with demonstrated hands-on MariApps experience combined with sailing experience will be given preference.
