Mechanical Engineer, Prototyping

About The CompanyWe are a robotics wearable hardware company with a field office in Kyiv, and we are looking for a Mechanical Engineer with strong prototyping skills to turn designs into real parts, fast. You will take CAD files and instructions from our engineers abroad and produce finished parts within days, then fit them to our units on site. This is a hands-on builder role, not a design role.ResponsibilitiesGet parts made from engineering CAD: CNC aluminum, laser-cut and bent sheet metal, metal and nylon 3D printing, carbon fiberWork with suppliers to make designs easier to manufacture (tolerances, threads, radii, simpler geometry)Run same-day prints on our in-house 3D printerHand-fit, drill, bend and assemble parts, and repair a unit within 24 hours when neededFit new parts and upgrade our units between versionsBuild and maintain a network of fast local workshopsSend a short daily update on what was made, what failed and what is at the supplierQualificationsMechanical engineering background with real prototyping experience: parts you made, not only parts you drewStrong CAD skills (SolidWorks, Fusion 360 or similar), including editing someone else’s model for manufacturabilityGood knowledge of machining, sheet metal and 3D printingHands-on workshop skills: assembly, hand tools, drilling, bending, fittingWorking English for daily calls and written messagesSelf-directed: you take a brief and return with finished partsBased in Kyiv and able to work on-site full-timeNice to haveExperience at a drone, ground-robot or fabrication companyExisting relationships with Kyiv suppliers and workshopsWhat We OfferA full-time role at our Kyiv officeCompetitive compensationDirect work with our engineering teamStart as soon as possibleSkills: building,cad,solidworks,design,mechanical assemblies,prototyping
