Mechanical Technician Trainee

The position is reserved for MALE UAE Nationals with Family Book.The communication at work is 100% in English and therefore, they must be fluent.

Location: Mirfa International Power & Water Company (MIPCO), Mirfa, Abu Dhabi, UAEPurpose of the Job:To ensure mechanical equipment in the plant is properly maintained to optimize reliability and availability, in accordance with OEM guidelines and maintenance standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct daily mechanical maintenance tasks, including troubleshooting, preventive and corrective maintenance.- Ensure all safety, environmental, and quality protocols are followed.- Participate in work planning, reporting, and using the CMMS (Maximo).- Maintain high quality standards and complete tasks within deadlines and budget.- Ensure readiness for emergency call-outs and 24-hour plant support.- Support and cooperate with multicultural team members and contractors.Performance Indicators:- Timely work completion- Quality of maintenance reports and documentation- Effective use of Maximo system- Plant availability and defect reduction- Compliance with HSE requirementsRequired Skills & Knowledge:- Hands-on mechanical maintenance experience in power plant environments- Ability to troubleshoot and maintain various mechanical systems- Knowledge of health and safety practices and plant isolation procedures- Strong team collaboration and communication skills- Computer literacy and good command of EnglishExperience:1-2 years and for fresh graduates as a traineeEducation:- Diploma in Engineering or equivalent certification.Behavioral Competencies:- Commitment to safety and teamwork- Problem-solving and decision-making under pressure- Organizational skills and continuous improvement mindsetWorking Hours:-The normal working hours will be from 7:30am to 4:30pm on Monday to Friday.-Friday 7:30 am to 3:15 pm with hour prayer break.-Ready to be located near site during the shift days-Must be flexible to report to duty in case of an emergency.
