Medical Assistant – Primary CareCoastal Health is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and team-oriented Medical Assistant to join our Primary Care team. We are looking for someone who enjoys working with patients, supporting providers, and being part of a team that puts patient care first.Position ResponsibilitiesWelcome and room patients in a professional and compassionate mannerObtain and document vital signs, medical history, and medication informationPrepare patients for examinations and proceduresAssist providers with exams, treatments, and in-office proceduresPerform injections, phlebotomy, and other clinical duties as trained and permittedCollect and prepare laboratory specimensPerform EKGs and other basic clinical testing as neededAdminister medications and injections according to provider orders and office protocolsMaintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical recordAssist with prescription requests, referrals, and patient follow-upCommunicate with patients regarding appointments, testing, and provider instructionsMaintain clean, organized, and properly stocked exam roomsFollow HIPAA, OSHA, infection control, and company policiesWork closely with providers and other clinical staff to ensure efficient patient flowProvide excellent customer service and help create a positive patient experiencePerform other duties as assignedQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredMedical Assistant certification preferredPrevious medical office or Primary Care experience preferredExperience with electronic medical records preferredStrong communication and organizational skillsAbility to multitask in a fast-paced medical environmentProfessional, dependable, and positive attitudeMust be comfortable working directly with patients and providing clinical supportAbility to work effectively as part of a teamWhat We OfferCompetitive pay based on experienceFull-time employmentFull benefits package401(k)Paid time offPaid holidaysSupportive team environmentOpportunity for growth within Coastal HealthAbout Coastal HealthCoastal Health is a multi-specialty healthcare group with locations throughout Jacksonville and Southeast Georgia.
