Employment Type: Full-Time / ContractJob SummaryWe are looking for an experienced Operator – Pumping Stations & Wells to support the safe and efficient operation of water treatment, pumping, and distribution systems.The role involves monitoring and controlling equipment from the control room, responding to alarms and operational issues, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with operational, safety, and quality standards.Key ResponsibilitiesOperate and control pumping, well, water treatment, and distribution equipment from the control room.Monitor equipment performance through control panels, SCADA/computer systems, and instrumentation.Ensure parameters such as pressure, flow, temperature, voltage, and current remain within safe operating limits.Follow SOPs for equipment start-up, shutdown, normal operation, and emergency response.Respond to alarms, equipment failures, water quality concerns, and other operational incidents.Take corrective action to maintain continuity of service and protect personnel and equipment.Maintain accurate operational logs, maintenance records, and water quality data.Support preparation and implementation of annual operational plans.Monitor operational KPIs and performance indicators.Supervise and guide team members on operational duties and standards.Support training and development of technical and behavioural capabilities.Review and improve operational procedures, processes, and work practices.Contribute to operational improvement, innovation, sustainability, and service-efficiency initiatives.Ensure compliance with safety, security, confidentiality, data-protection, and professional-conduct requirements.Support internal and external reporting as required.RequirementsDiploma / Technical qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, Water Operations, Utilities, or a related discipline.Previous experience in pumping stations, wells, water treatment, water distribution, utilities, or similar operations.Experience operating equipment through SCADA / control room systems is preferred.Good knowledge of pumps, motors, valves, instrumentation, pressure, flow, and electrical operating parameters.Strong understanding of SOPs, emergency response, operational safety, and equipment monitoring.Ability to maintain accurate logs and operational reports.Good communication and team supervision skills.Ability to work in shifts and respond effectively to operational emergencies.Key SkillsWater Treatment, Pumping Stations, Wells Operations, Water Distribution, SCADA, Control Room Operations, Pumps, Motors, Valves, Instrumentation, Preventive Maintenance, Operational Monitoring, Emergency Response, Water Quality, SOP Compliance, Utilities Operations, HSE, Safety Compliance, KPI Monitoring, Team Supervision, Operational Reporting, Process Improvement.
