Plant Engineer (Steel & Metal)

POSITION: Metal Plant Engineer (with decorative metal hands-on technical & pricing experience) JOB SUMMARYWe are currently seeking a “Plant Engineer for our Steel/Metal Division” with at least 5 years of experience in the metal industry and machine functions/operations. This role requires the candidate to have “Hands-on technical experience” in various metal machinery to ensure that the Metal Production runs smoothly and efficiently. This will also involve supervising the department staff, developing and implementing departmental procedures, coordinating the work with other departments and handling project estimation/pricing. QUALIFICATIONS:5 years of Technical Hands-On Experience in Operating Various Metal MachineriesHands-on experience fabricating stainless steel, specifically decorative interior stainless steel (wall cladding, panels, railings, elevator interiors) — not structural steel.Experience with coatings and finishing (such as PVD colour coating, electropolishing, mechanical finishes)In-depth knowledge of the industry and pricing decorative steel/metal projects.Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office (especially Outlook and Excel).Strong technical skills with the ability to supervise multiple teams.Previous experience as a plant/division engineer, supervisor, or related position. RESPONSIBILITIES:Oversee daily production operations & material flow within the Metal Division.Endorse production orders to the team and monitor, supervise & record status/progress.Assign daily tasks to workers, manage manpower distribution, and work allocation.Arrange the metal division's production plan and schedule.Perform quality checks and inspections throughout the production process and on finished products.Provide metal machinery training and guidance to team members.Prepare production drawings related to steel/metal orders.Prepare estimates/pricing for decorative steel/metal works.Oversee the installation of metal components for glass projects.Supervise manufacturing and machinery activities within the metal divisionPrepare and arrange the metal division’s production plan, schedule, and delivery.Monitor work progress and quality, ensuring compliance with specifications.Collaborate with the design and project teams to ensure integration of metal and glass elements.COMPANY BENEFITS + PERKS:2 days off (Saturday -Sunday / 8:00 am – 6:00 pm)Paid Overtime & annual leaveHealth InsuranceOffice Location: National Industries Park, Jebel Ali Industrial Third
