Job Description
We are currently seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a vital role in our construction projects by ensuring accurate cost estimation, monitoring project finances, and providing expert advice on cost management.
Responsibilities
- Conducting cost estimates, feasibility studies, and budget preparation for construction projects.- Preparing tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities.- Analyzing and evaluating project costs, variations, and claims.- Monitoring project finances, tracking costs, and providing regular reports.- Collaborating with project managers, architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure cost-effective solutions.- Conducting site visits to assess progress and verify quantities.- Assisting in the procurement process and negotiating with suppliers and subcontractors.- Providing expert advice on cost management, value engineering, and cost-saving measures.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years work experience - Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry.- Strong knowledge of cost estimation, quantity take-off, and cost control methods.- Proficiency in relevant software applications such as MS Excel, cost estimating software, Cost X and Auto CAD- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.- Strong communication and negotiation abilities.- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.- Professional certification or membership with relevant industry bodies is a plus.
