Our Chamber is committed to advocacy, member service, and building a thriving, well-connected business community.The OpportunityThe Chamber's Board of Directors is searching for a transformational leader to serve as President/CEO. This individual will be responsible for the day-to-day administration, marketing, and operations necessary to ensure the proper functioning of the Chamber, operating within an approved strategic plan, bylaws, policy, financial plans, and budget.The ideal candidate is a strong leader who will unite our business community, strengthen partnerships across the parish, and elevate the Chamber as the leading advocate for business success. We want this person to be an exceptional communicator, a collaborative relationship builder, and a visionary executive capable of leading our organization into its next chapter.Core ResponsibilitiesStrategic Vision Grow the Chamber's influence across the regionAssure that the organization has a long-range strategy that achieves its mission and goals in a consistent and timely mannerProvide leadership in developing program organization and financial plans with the Board of Directors, staff and membershipRelationship Building & Community LiaisonUnite business, government, education, nonprofit, and community leaders across Livingston ParishServe as the Chamber's liaison to the broader communityEstablish mutually beneficial relationships with appropriate organizations and maintain open relationships with elected officialsMaintain a working knowledge of significant developments and trends in Livingston ParishMembership & Sales DevelopmentLead a relationship-driven organization with member service and sales as top prioritiesDrive membership acquisition and retention across the Chamber's membership baseEnsure a high level of customer service to members and maintain accurate, updated membership recordsCommunity Visibility & LeadershipServe as a visible community leader and the face of the business communityParticipate in community activities and events to contribute a positive image of the ChamberLead event planning and fundraising efforts on behalf of the ChamberBoard Partnership & OperationsCommunicate regularly with the Board of Directors and welcome accountabilityRecommend, guide, and assist the Board in developing long-term strategic goals, yearly budget and an annual program of workResponsible for the management, recruitment, employment, and release of Chamber personnelWho We're Looking ForMinimum of 5 years of experience in executive-level managementBachelor's degree in advertising, business, marketing, public relations, or a related field preferred; appropriate experience may be substituted for a degreeStrong leadership skills and is proven to be an effective communicatorStrategic visionary with a track record of driving organizational growthSuccessful in leading a relationship-driven organizationExperience working with or reporting to a governing boardA self-starter with a high level of initiative and proven leadership abilitiesDetail-oriented and able to work independently.Any further inquiries regarding the position should be emailed to shannon@crossroadcoach.com
