PRINCIPAL - Lead AI EngineerGenerative AI & Azure - Azure OpenAI, LangChain / LangGraph, PythonPermanent - DublinBackground:A leading organisation is scaling its enterprise AI and needs a hands-on Lead AI Engineer to build, ship and run production GenAI. You will spend your time in the code: building RAG and multi-agent systems, getting them into production on Azure, and keeping them reliable once they are live. It is hands-on throughout, with the scope to shape how AI is delivered across the business.

Responsibilities

Build production GenAI, RAG and multi-agent solutions in Python and ship them to real users, with guardrails and evaluation built in.Engineer retrieval quality on document-heavy sources: chunking, embeddings, hybrid and semantic search, reranking and grounding.Build and run agentic workflows (LangGraph or LangChain): state, tool calling, structured outputs and error handling.Support and harden live AI systems: debugging, refactoring, dependency upgrades and root-cause analysis of non-deterministic failures.Stand up LLMOps: tracing, cost and latency monitoring, groundedness and regression testing, with evaluation gates in CI/CD.Experience:Proven hands-on delivery of AI into production, not proofs of concept or advisory-only work.Strong Python engineering, including how to test non-deterministic LLM code.Hands-on with the Azure AI stack: Azure OpenAI / AI Foundry, Azure AI Search and Document Intelligence.Agentic frameworks in production (LangGraph or LangChain) and real RAG retrieval-quality work.Secure-by-design on Azure (managed identity, RBAC, Key Vault), Infrastructure-as-Code (Bicep) and CI/CD.Also useful: a React / TypeScript UI over your own APIs, vector databases, and Azure certifications.To apply or find out more, email Fergal Keys at fergalk@thepanel.com
