Principal – Private Equity & GrowthThe opportunityOur client is seeking a Principal to join its Private Equity and Growth team. The role will contribute to investment origination, evaluation and execution, and work with portfolio companies to support growth and value creation.The successful candidate will bring proven GCC investment experience, a demonstrable transaction track record and an investment banking or consulting background within a GCC institution.Key responsibilitiesInvestment origination: Identify and assess private equity and growth investment opportunities, drawing on knowledge of GCC markets and businesses.Investment analysis: Develop investment theses through sector research, commercial assessment, financial modelling and valuation.Due diligence: Lead transaction workstreams and coordinate financial, commercial, legal and other due diligence with internal teams and external advisers.Investment recommendations: Prepare investment committee papers and present recommendations covering investment rationale, key risks, expected returns and value creation opportunities.Transaction execution: Support transaction structuring, negotiations and execution alongside senior investment team members.Portfolio management: Monitor portfolio company performance and work with management teams on strategic priorities, growth initiatives and potential exits.Relationship development: Build relationships with founders, business owners, advisers and other relevant market participants.Candidate profile6–10 years of relevant professional experience.Proven experience investing in the GCC is essential, supported by evidence of completed regional transactions and a clear explanation of the candidate’s individual contribution.An investment banking or consulting background within a GCC institution.Strong financial modelling, valuation and due diligence capabilities, combined with sound commercial judgement.The ability to manage transaction workstreams, communicate investment recommendations clearly and work effectively with senior stakeholders.Transaction track recordCandidates should be prepared to provide a CV and a concise deal sheet outlining relevant GCC transactions, including:Country and sector.Transaction type and completion status.Their specific role and contribution.Transaction values and company names, where disclosure is permitted.Confidential transactions may be anonymised.
