Procurement Engineer

About the Role

As a Procurement Engineer, you will play a critical role in supporting our construction projects by managing the sourcing, evaluation, and procurement of materials, equipment, and subcontractor packages. You will be responsible for ensuring cost efficiency, technical compliance, and timely procurement in line with project requirements. Your expertise will contribute to effective supplier selection, accurate commercial evaluations, and seamless coordination with project, engineering, and commercial tams to ensure successful project delivery.RequirementsExperience managing of procurement of Provisional Sum & Subcontractor packages for high-rise building projects (Structure, Finishing, Façade, MEP, etc.)Prepare and maintain procurement comparison sheets for supplier quotations, evaluating pricing, technical compliance, delivery timelines, payment terms, and other relevant factors to support cost-effective purchasing decisionsFamiliar with preparation and issue of RFQs, tender documents, and BOQs to subcontractorsExperience in Identifying, pre-qualification and evaluate subcontractors based on technical and commercial criteriaHave decent experience in technical & commercial bid evaluations and prepare comparison statementsLead negotiations with subcontractors to achieve cost-effective and timely awardsCoordinate with Project, Engineering, Planning, and Commercial teamsDecent exposure with Contracts/Commercial teams to issue LOIs, Work Orders, and SubcontractsGood knowledge in tracking procurement schedules and ensure alignment with project timelinesMonitor subcontractor performance related to procurement scopeEnsure compliance with company procurement policies and contract conditionsMaintain procurement records, reports, and vendor databasesBachelor's degree in engineering (Civil)8 years of experience in procurement of subcontractor packages for high-rise buildingsStrong understanding of construction methodologies and subcontract scopesExperience handling multiple packages simultaneouslyGood knowledge of contractual terms, BOQs, and cost controlExcellent negotiation, communication, and coordination skillsAbility to work under tight deadlines and manage priorities
