Tailor my CV for this job — freeProduct Design Intern
Not pitch decks, not concept art — shipped UX improvements, measured by whether users complete what they came to do.We are looking for someone who has already done one design internship, knows what it feels like when a design meets real users and real engineers, and wants to go deeper.Your RoleYou will own UX improvements on a production platform, end to end: find the friction, propose the fix, design it, ship it with engineering, and check whether it worked.UX Audits & Friction Mapping: Walk through existing flows, review support tickets and session data, and build a prioritised list of what is actually slowing users down.Redesign Within Constraints: Improve flows inside an existing design system and a live codebase. You will learn to make the biggest difference with the smallest change.Prototyping & Validation: Build clickable prototypes in Figma, run quick usability checks with real users or internal stakeholders, and iterate before anything goes to engineering.Design-to-Dev Handoff: Write specs engineers can build from — states, edge cases, responsive behaviour, empty/error/loading states. Review the build before release.Design System Upkeep: Keep components consistent, document patterns, and flag drift.Measure the Outcome: Define what "better" means for each change (task completion, drop-off, time-on-task, ticket volume) and look at the numbers after release.Who You AreNot Your First Internship: You have completed at least one design internship at a SaaS or mobile app company. You have shipped something to real users, even if small.Portfolio That Shows Thinking: We care more about the problem, the constraints and the trade-offs than the final Dribbble shot. Show us before/after, and what you learned.Figma-Native: Comfortable with auto-layout, components, variables and prototyping. Can work inside someone else's file without breaking it.Systems Thinker: You understand that a change to one screen affects ten others, and you design accordingly.Comfortable With Engineers: You can explain a design decision to a developer, take feedback, and adjust without losing the user's interest.Career Transitioners Welcome: If you are moving into product design from graphic design, front-end, research or another field, we support that — provided you meet the prior-internship requirement and can commit full-time.Bonus: Experience with AI-assisted design tools, or prior work on B2B / fintech / dashboard-heavy products.Non-NegotiablesMinimum 3 months, full-time. Internships shorter than 3 months are unpaid. Part-time or alongside-college availability does not work for this role.Prior SaaS or mobile app internship. This cannot be your first internship.Remote discipline. You can work independently across time zones, communicate asynchronously, and show your work without being chased. What You GetOwnership of real UX problems on a live product, not practice exercises.Direct feedback from product, engineering and users.A portfolio of shipped, measured work by the end — not mockups.Potential for full-time conversion for strong performers. To ApplySend us:Your resumeYour portfolio (link)A one-paragraph summary of one UX problem you worked on during a previous internship — what the friction was, what you changed, and what happened after. The summary is mandatory. Applications without it will not be reviewed.
