Mohananda Agriculture & Fisheries Limited is looking for Production Manager (Aquaculture)Job Description / ResponsibilityA large commercial fish farm located in Habiganj is seeking an experienced Production Manager to oversee the production and overall management of 28 ponds used for intensive culture of Pangas and Tilapia, along with Rui, Katla, Mrigal, Grass Carp, Bighead Carp, and Common Carp.Key ResponsibilitiesPlan, implement, and manage the overall production activities of all 28 pondsSupervise pond-wise stocking, feeding, growth monitoring, Feed Conversion Ratio (FCR), survival rates, and harvesting schedulesMonitor Dissolved Oxygen (DO) levels and water quality, manage aerator operations, and ensure effective emergency oxygen managementImplement preventive measures against fish diseases and promptly identify abnormal fish mortalityControl the use and costs of feed, fingerlings, medicines, and other production inputsMaintain accurate daily records for each pond, including feed registers, mortality registers, biomass estimates, stock registers, and production reportsAnalyze production costs, cost per kilogram of fish produced, FCR, and overall profitability, and submit regular reports to managementSupervise farm supervisors and workers, allocate duties, and evaluate staff performanceImplement measures to prevent fish theft, wastage, unauthorized feed use, and other operational risksRemain at the project site to ensure continuous production monitoring and take prompt action in emergenciesEducational RequirementsBachelor of Science (BSc) in FisheriesBachelor of Science (BSc) in FisheriesBSc in Fisheries or Aquaculture from a recognized university; an MSc will be preferredSkills Required: Aquaculture, Fish Feeds, Fisheries disease, Fish Biology, Fisheries Science, Technical Support (Poultry Fish), Fish Medicine, Fish Farm/ Fish Hatchery, Shrimp AquacultureExperience Requirements5 to 10 year(s)The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): FisheriesAdditional RequirementsAt least 5 years of practical experience in a large commercial fish farmHands-on experience in intensive Pangas and Tilapia culture is mandatoryProficiency in DO meter operation, aerator management, water quality monitoring, FCR management, and production costingStrong leadership, staff management, reporting, and computer skillsMust reside full-time at the project site in HabiganjMust be actively involved in field-level operations; this is not an office-based positionPrevious employment references and practical production experience will be verifiedNames and contact details of two professional referess.Job LocationHabiganj
