PROJECT DIRECTOR – RAIL DEPOTS & TERMINAL

HIRING: PROJECT DIRECTOR – CIVIL | RAIL DEPOTS & TERMINALS Location: UAEProject: High-Speed Rail Infrastructure We are seeking an experienced Project Director with a Civil Engineering background to lead the construction and delivery of depot and terminal facilities for a major high-speed rail project in the UAE. The role requires proven main-contractor leadership, with accountability for construction execution, commercial performance, programme, quality, safety and handover. Key Responsibilities Lead delivery from design coordination and mobilisation through construction, commissioning support and final handover. Direct civil, structural and building works, including depot workshops, maintenance facilities, operational buildings, yards, utilities and external infrastructure. Manage project budgets, cash flow, procurement, subcontractors, resources and construction milestones. Coordinate civil interfaces with track, MEP, rail systems, depot equipment and operational requirements. Lead client, consultant, JV partner and authority coordination, ensuring timely approvals and resolution of delivery issues. Oversee contractual obligations, variations, claims, risk mitigation and recovery programmes. Drive HSE, quality and team performance across all construction activities. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering. Typically 20+ years of construction experience, including 5+ years as Project Director or equivalent on major rail or infrastructure projects. Demonstrated delivery of rail depots, maintenance workshops or rail terminal facilities. Strong main-contractor experience, with direct responsibility for budgets, subcontractors and site execution. Proven knowledge of civil/structural works, building construction and interfaces with railway systems. Strong contract administration, commercial management and stakeholder leadership skills. UAE/GCC experience preferred; high-speed rail experience is an advantage. PMP or equivalent project management certification preferred.
