Retail Operations Manager – International Store NetworkThe OpportunityWe are looking for an experienced retail operations professional to oversee the processes, systems and controls that support LUCA FALONI’s international store network.Reporting to the Head of Retail, you will take ownership of stock control, operational procedures, loss prevention, facilities coordination and operational readiness for new store openings. You will work closely with store managers and central teams to resolve operational issues, introduce consistent ways of working and ensure stores have the support they need to operate effectively.This is a central operations role requiring previous responsibility for operational processes across multiple stores. It is distinct from store sales management, with a focus on the infrastructure and controls behind successful retail performance.Key ResponsibilitiesStore operations and controlsDevelop, maintain and implement practical operating procedures across the store network.Strengthen stock control processes, including stock movements, transfers, stocktakes and the investigation of discrepancies.Implement loss prevention controls and monitor compliance with company procedures.Coordinate store maintenance and facilities issues, working with suppliers and internal teams to secure timely resolution.Support store managers with operational issues and ensure recurring problems are addressed at their source.New store openingsOwn the retail operations workstream for international store openings, coordinating dependencies with relevant teams.Build and manage opening checklists, timelines and readiness reviews.Ensure operational procedures, stock handling arrangements, equipment and team guidance are in place before launch.Review each opening and apply lessons to future projects.Operational improvementMonitor inventory accuracy, stock loss, operational compliance and other relevant measures.Identify weaknesses in existing processes and deliver practical improvements.Coordinate the rollout of new retail systems, tools and procedures, including clear guidance for store teams.Maintain visibility of operational priorities, risks and outstanding actions across the network.Cross-functional deliveryPartner with Retail, Logistics, Finance, Merchandising and other relevant functions to deliver operational projects.Establish clear responsibilities, deadlines and escalation routes.Communicate changes concisely and follow through to ensure they are implemented consistently.Essential ExperienceDemonstrable experience managing retail operations across multiple stores, with direct responsibility for operational processes and controls.Hands-on experience in inventory management, stock control, stocktakes and loss prevention.Experience creating and implementing standard operating procedures across a store network.Experience delivering the operational workstream for new store openings.A track record of managing cross-functional projects through to completion.Confidence using retail systems, spreadsheets and reporting tools to investigate issues and improve performance.Clear communication, sound prioritisation and consistent attention to detail.Applicants should be able to demonstrate ownership of operational processes beyond an individual sales role or sales team.Desirable ExperienceInternational retail operations.Luxury, premium or fashion retail.Facilities and external supplier coordination.Retail systems implementation or process change.What Success Looks LikeStores follow clear, consistent operating procedures.Stock discrepancies are investigated promptly and inventory accuracy improves.Operational issues are resolved effectively, with fewer recurring problems.New stores open with the required processes, equipment and operational support in place.Store teams receive clear guidance and dependable operational support.Additional InformationWe are an equal opportunities employer.
