Salesforce Solution Architect (Hybrid, Lansing, MI)About the roleA Michigan state agency is moving critical child welfare and health systems off legacy platforms and onto Salesforce. They need a Salesforce Architect to own solution design, guide the technical direction, and mentor the development team. This is a hands-on architect seat. You’ll build POCs and do some development, but it isn’t an everyday coding job.What you’ll doLead architecture and technical design for Salesforce solutions supporting case management and user engagementJoin sprint work with the agile team, whiteboard stories, and turn business requirements into scalable solutionsGather requirements and work directly with business users, analysts, and product ownersWork with vendors to troubleshoot, validate their solutions, and build proofs of conceptCustomize out of the box Salesforce toolsRun org health checks and platform assessments, and recommend improvementsPlan integrations with other systems, external partners, and hosting platformsDesign application security that meets state policies and follow secure development practicesMentor and guide developers, including state employees and contractorsMake sure designs meet state and agency standards and compliance requirementsWhat you bring7 to 8 years of hands-on Salesforce experience, mainly Service Cloud and Sales Cloud2 to 3 Salesforce certifications5+ years gathering and analyzing business and technical requirements with stakeholdersExperience designing CI/CD pipelines, including pipeline as code, branching strategies, automated code review, and testingClear communication with both technical and non-technical audiencesNice to haveGovernment or Public Sector Cloud experienceSalesforce Architect certificationSQL, Java, and web services developmentExperience with Experience Cloud and Field Service LightningEnterprise level implementation experienceOracle SQL development and performance tuningExperience with DevOps practices, including automated builds, regression and smoke testing, and multi environment deploymentsAgile experience, 5+ yearsDatabase related certificationsDetails
