Senior AV Broadcast Engineer

That includes, Sales Engineering, Systems Design, Workflow development, System Commissioning, Acceptance Testing, End user training.Provide technical expertise to support the architecture, installation and planning of audio, video and control solutionsComplete documentation with a high degree of quality that follows Technical Services StandardsProvide services, including CAD drawings (flows, plans, elevations, details) systems descriptions, equipment research, selection, customer product design and system integrationResearch and analyze the capabilities of available hardware and software optionsProvide rough order of magnitude pricing and development plans for clientsDesign audiovisual systems of various hardware and software components that work together as one integrated system and that meet customers specific needsBuild quotes and bills of materials for client proposalsSupport projects and our team throughout the implementation process.PROFESSIONAL SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:At least (5) years’ experience in an A/V technical position or live production technical environmentExperience in broadcast/TV/control room setting for live events.Experience with Government production – town halls, city hall productions, judicialHave a strong working knowledge of broadcast signal workflow, signal types and possess strong signal pathway diagnostic and trouble shooting skills.Knowledge of Broadcast Industry standards, and technologiesExperience with IP-based video transport technologies and networking protocolsExperience with control and automation systems.Current with industry trends, best practices in Broadcast and AV TechnologiesAbility to work independently, be self-directed and make sound decisions based on customer satisfaction.Communication and customer relation skills.Any key Broadcast and/or AV industry certifications are a plus.Knowledge and ability to design broadcast systems spanning multiple standards and protocols (SDI, NDI, SMPTE2110, Dante, AES67, ETC)Experience in designing and deploying shared editing storage and asset management solutionsExperience as a Technical Director or EIC role for production is a plusAbility to design, program and configure various switching, replay, routing, intercom and audio solutions for broadcastExperience in VR, AR and XR system Design a plusExperience in Sports and eSports broadcasting a plusExperience in General AV Design a plusSoftware, cloud, remote, and file-based production workflows.AutoCAD a plusIP Network Design and/or IP Network Provisioning specific to AV and Broadcast applicationsAbility and willingness to travel nationally to customer sites.Why Should You Apply?At FORTÉ, your work matters, and it’s easy to see the impact you make.
