Unlike larger firms, your work here won't disappear into layers of corporate structure: you'll have visibility across projects, direct access to directors, and real influence over technical standards and client outcomes.What You'll Be DoingProject scope

• Mining and industrial infrastructure projects across Queensland and Australia.
• Roads, haul roads, intersections and site access infrastructure.
• Bulk earthworks, site grading, platforms, pads and operational site infrastructure.
• Stormwater, drainage, culverts, open channels and surface water management.Technical delivery
• Lead civil design packages from concept and feasibility through to detailed design and construction support.
• Prepare, review and coordinate designs, calculations, reports and technical documentation.
• Apply Australian Standards, Austroads guidance and Queensland/local authority requirements.
• Embed Safety in Design and constructability into every stage of delivery.Coordination & leadership
• Manage technical scope, budgets and programme commitments for assigned packages.
• Coordinate deliverables with designers, engineers, project managers and external consultants.
• Mentor engineers and designers through review, guidance and mark-ups.
• Contribute to bids, proposals and client relationships that drive repeat work.About YouYou're a practical, commercially aware civil engineer who enjoys solving real project problems. You take ownership of your work, communicate clearly, and want your contribution to be visible and valued in a growing consultancy.Skills & ExperienceEssential
• Bachelor of Civil Engineering.
• 8+ years' experience in civil engineering consultancy, mining, infrastructure or related project delivery.
• Strong technical capability in roads, earthworks, stormwater, drainage and civil infrastructure.
• Proven ability to prepare and review engineering designs, calculations and reports.
• Strong communication, coordination and problem-solving skills.Highly Regarded
• RPEQ registration or actively working towards it.
• CPEng or progression towards Chartered status.
• Mining, resources, industrial or brownfield project experience.
• Experience working with Civil 3D / 12D designers and model-based delivery.
• Experience within ISO 9001 or similar quality management systems.Why Join JBU Group?
