Senior Cloud Security Engineer – Contract (UAE Bank)Location: Dubai, UAEDuration: 6 monthsExperience: 8+ years in IT/Information Security, including 4+ years hands-on in Cloud Security or DevSecOpsThe Role:Our client, a leading UAE bank is seeking a hands-on Senior Cloud Security Engineer to design and implement security controls across its cloud infrastructure, applications and CI/CD pipelines.

Key Responsibilities

Design and implement security controls and guardrails across Azure and/or AWS environments, including UAE-hosted cloud regions.Own cloud identity and access management: least-privilege access, privileged access management, MFA and conditional access.Embed DevSecOps practices into CI/CD pipelines, including IaC scanning, secrets management and secure code checks.Secure container and Kubernetes platforms (AKS, EKS or OpenShift).Manage encryption and key management (Azure Key Vault, AWS KMS, HSM) for sensitive customer and payments data.Run cloud security posture management and vulnerability management, tracking findings through to closure.Integrate cloud logs with the bank’s SIEM/SOC and support cloud-related incident response.Ensure controls meet CBUAE regulations, UAE data residency requirements, ISO 27001 and PCI DSS, and support internal, external and regulatory audits.Perform security reviews and threat modelling for new cloud projects and third-party/SaaS onboarding.RequirementsStrong hands-on experience securing Azure or AWS environments (ideally both).Practical DevSecOps experience with CI/CD (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions or Jenkins), Docker, Kubernetes and Terraform.Experience with cloud security tooling such as Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Prisma Cloud or Wiz, and SIEM platforms such as Microsoft Sentinel, Splunk or QRadar.Experience in banking or financial services, with exposure to regulatory audits and compliance teams.
