Senior Construction Engineer

About the role We’re looking for a technically strong Senior Construction Engineer to act as the CEO’s independent technical representative across our project sites. You’ll visit sites regularly, check what’s actually happening against what’s being reported, and give the CEO clear, evidence-based reports on progress, quality, sequencing and delivery risks.This is a hands-on, site-based role for an engineer who knows how buildings are actually built and isn’t afraid to ask difficult questions.Key responsibilitiesCarry out regular and targeted site inspections across multiple projects, as directed by the CEO.Verify actual site progress against programmes, progress reports, drawings and specifications.Review construction methods and sequencing across structural, architectural, MEP and finishing works, including trade interfaces, access and inspection requirements.Identify and investigate delays, defects, rework, coordination issues and low productivity using site observation, drawings, programmes and discussions with site teams.Assess whether completion forecasts and recovery plans are realistic.Separate verified facts from assumptions, and challenge explanations professionally.Prepare concise written reports covering the issue, evidence, root cause, time, cost and quality impact, recommended action, owner and target date.Follow up on agreed corrective actions and confirm they’ve been effective before recommending closure.Escalate urgent safety or structural concerns immediately through site procedures.RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.7–10 years of hands-on construction experience with a main contractor in the UAE, as Site Engineer, Senior Site Engineer, Project Engineer or Construction Manager.Strong practical knowledge of construction methods, sequencing, drawings, specifications, civil and MEP interfaces, finishing works and quality control.Ability to read and interrogate construction programmes and assess real progress on site.Clear, concise English report writing, with confidence speaking to project managers, consultants and subcontractors.Valid UAE driving licence and willingness to travel to sites regularly.PreferredExperience on high-rise, villa community or mixed-use projects in the UAE.Exposure to defect investigation, snagging, or quality and progress audits.PMP or similar certification.How to ApplyApply through LinkedIn or send your CV to careers@see-engineering.com with the subject line “Senior Construction Engineer”
