Senior Construction Planner

Role Description The Senior Construction Planner role is a part-time, hybrid position based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, with some flexibility for work-from-home arrangements. The individual in this role will develop and maintain detailed construction and project schedules for oncology-related facilities and infrastructure, ensuring alignment with project objectives, budgets, and timelines. Day-to-day responsibilities include coordinating with project managers, engineers, procurement teams, and contractors to sequence work, identify critical paths, and mitigate schedule risks. The Senior Construction Planner will monitor progress, update project plans, and prepare reports and forecasts to support decision-making and project control. The role also involves contributing to planning standards and best practices, supporting resource allocation, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and safety requirements.QualificationsCandidates should possess strong skills in Construction Planning and Construction, with experience managing complex, multi-phase projects.Candidates should possess skills in Project Planning and Project Control, including schedule development, progress tracking, and variance analysis.Candidates should possess skills in Procurement related to construction projects, including coordination of materials, services, and vendor timelines.Experience in planning and executing projects within healthcare or pharmaceutical facilities, particularly oncology, is beneficial.Strong analytical and organizational skills, with proficiency in project planning software (e.g., Primavera, MS Project) and MS Office.Excellent communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively with cross-functional and multicultural teams.Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field; advanced certifications in project planning or project management (e.g., PMI, AACE) are an advantage.Proven experience in a senior planning role, ideally within large-scale construction or infrastructure projects in the Middle East.
