Job Title: Senior Contracts EngineerDuration: 12 months Renewable contractSchedule: Resident Maputo Location: MozambiqueThis opportunity sits within a major project-focused environment and will support contract strategy, tendering, negotiation, contract administration, claims evaluation, and close-out activities.

The role is suited to professionals with strong Contracts and Procurement expertise, experience working with standard forms of contract such as FIDIC, and the ability to manage complex commercial and contractual matters across project delivery. This position offers broad exposure to procurement strategy, bid analysis, contract execution follow-up, and stakeholder coordination within a technically demanding operating environment.Required EducationMaster’s degree or diploma in a relevant disciplineRequired Experience10–15 years of professional experience, including at least 2 years in the technical contracts domainExperience in Contracts and Procurement within a project or operations environmentExperience in contract and sub-contract administrationExposure to commercial and contractual bid analysis, negotiation, contract execution follow-up, and contract close-outExperience evaluating and managing contractor claims, amendments, and contract renewalsRequired SkillsAdvanced Contracts and Procurement technical competencyStrong knowledge of standard forms of contract, including FIDIC and bespoke contract modelsStrong knowledge of claims evaluation and change order preparationAbility to propose contracting and procurement strategy aligned to project requirementsAbility to support call for tender activities, define evaluation criteria, and manage tender documentationAbility to assess and mitigate contractual riskStrong negotiation, planning, organising, coordinating, and problem-solving capabilityGood written and verbal communication in EnglishAbility to support and train newly recruited Contracts and Procurement personnelRequired CertificationsAdvanced certification in Contracts and Procurement toolsPreferred QualificationsEngineering educationInternational experienceAbout AirswiftAirswift is an international workforce solutions provider within the energy, process and infrastructure industries.
