Senior Engineer / Engineer (Electrical)

Job Duties:Plan, coordinate, and manage electrical engineering projects from inception to completion, ensuring delivery within schedule, budget, and quality requirements.Prepare electrical designs, load assessments, cable sizing calculations, technical submissions, and engineering documentation.Support the design, installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical power distribution systems.Conduct site surveys, technical evaluations, feasibility studies, and engineering assessments to support project execution.Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, suppliers, utility companies, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth project implementation.Monitor project progress, construction activities, safety performance, and quality standards, and resolve technical issues as they arise.Review engineering drawings, shop drawings, method statements, and as-built documentation.Prepare project reports, progress updates, and technical correspondence.Assist in tender preparation, including quantity take-off, cost estimation, technical proposals, commercial evaluation, and budgeting.Support power system upgrades, and electrical infrastructure enhancement projects.Participate in testing and commissioning activities and ensure compliance with statutory requirements, company standards, and client specifications.Provide technical support and guidance to project team members and site personnel.

Job Requirements

Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in electrical engineering, E&M projects, power distribution.Solid knowledge of electrical systems, power distribution, protection systems, testing and commissioning, and electrical design principles.Experience in tendering, cost estimation, quantity take-off, and project planning would be an advantage.Familiar with Hong Kong electrical regulations, codes of practice, and statutory requirements.Knowledge in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office applications.Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese.Holder of Registered Electrical Worker (REW) is preferred.About JECJardine Engineering Corporation (JEC) is a leading provider of engineering services, sourcing & contracting expertise, delivering engineering excellence for over a century.JEC enables customers to operate their facilities at world-class standards by providing the contracting expertise to design, supply and install building and specialised processes; facility operation and management; asset enhancement and energy management; and the sourcing of electrical and mechanical equipment and architectural fixtures.JEC is headquartered in Hong Kong and operates throughout Asia.
