Senior Financial Analyst

Our client is an international market leader operating in a complex multinational environment. They are looking for a commercially minded Senior Financial Analyst to take ownership of financial control for the European entities while acting as a trusted business partner to senior leadership.This is not a traditional accounting position. Working within a shared services environment, you will focus on interpreting financial information, challenging outputs, supporting strategic decisions, and ensuring strong financial governance.DescriptionResponsibilitiesAct as a trusted finance partner to senior leadership, providing commercial insight and financial advice.Coordinate month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing activities.Prepare and review journals, accruals, provisions and other accounting entries.Ensure compliance with IFRS, internal policies and financial control frameworks.Support statutory reporting, tax matters and external audits together with external advisors.Deliver financial analysis, reporting and modelling to support business decision-making.Extract and analyse financial data from ERP systems and develop meaningful business insights.Oversee the quality of work delivered by the shared service centre and resolve issues proactively.Partner closely with FP&A, commercial and operational stakeholders across Europe.Drive continuous improvement of financial processes, controls and reporting.About YouBachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or another quantitative discipline.Several years of experience within Financial Control, Controlling, Audit or Financial Analysis.Strong understanding of IFRS and financial reporting.Experience with month-end close, reconciliations and financial controls.Exposure to tax, statutory reporting or audit is advantageous.Advanced Excel skills and strong affinity with financial systems and data analysis.Commercial mindset with the ability to translate financial data into actionable business insights.Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced international environment.Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills.What's on OfferSalary up to €85,000 gross per year (depending on experience).Performance-based annual bonus.25+ vacation days.Competitive pension scheme.Hybrid working model (2-3 days per week in the office).Full travel allowance.Extensive learning and development opportunities.Opportunity to work within a leading international organisation with significant European exposure.Clear opportunities for long-term career growth within an international environment.Robert Walters Netherlands is acting as an Employment Agency in relation to this vacancy.
