Here an international retail bank is replacing its old e-banking portal with React and Next.js, and you rebuild it screen by screen: mobile-first, accessible, with AI coding agents as part of the daily workflowWHO WE ARE Specific-Group is an owner-managed IT services company with 26+ years in the market, 550+ specialists across 10 countries, and no VC funding or exits. Around 90% of our people are senior-level, and 82% of projects get extended — because clients value the work. More than half of our people join through referrals.THE CLIENT & THE PROJECT A leading international retail bank is rebuilding its e-banking portal. The current UI runs on Angular; the new one is built in React and Next.js — mobile-first, responsive and accessible (WCAG 2.1 AA), because it’s a regulated consumer banking portal used by a lot of people every day. A small backend-for-frontend layer in Next.js is part of the scope. AI coding agents — Windsurf, plus agents like Devin — are part of how the team actually ships, not a line on a slide.YOUR ROLE IN THE TEAM You join a peer-level SPG team that already delivers the full frontend on this client account: around 8 people, all SPG — 3 frontend developers, 2–3 QA, 1 UI/UX designer, 1 technical BA and project management. You work day to day with design and QA. The client owns the backend, DevOps and test automation. The team works in English.HOW IT STARTS Month 1: Onboard to the client’s environment, get into the React/Next.js setup and the Angular portal you’re replacing, and ship your first rebuilt screens.Months 2–3: Deliver screens and their Next.js BFF endpoints independently within the client’s dev cadence — mobile-first and accessible.Month 4+: Be a steady contributor on the rebuild; the engagement renews per tranche.WHAT YOU’LL DO Rebuild the bank’s e-banking portal screens in React and Next.js — real feature work, responsive and accessible;Build and maintain the Next.js backend-for-frontend layer that the UI consumes;Use AI-assisted development (Windsurf; agents like Devin) as a normal part of shipping;Work as part of the delivery team, aligned to the client’s process and tools, close to design and QA.STACK React · Next.js (App Router) · Next.js BFF · WCAG 2.1 AA · Windsurf · Devin · Angular (existing portal, being replaced)YOUR PROFILE You use React and Next.js in production at a strong level, including the App Router and a BFF layer, not just page routing;AI-assisted development is part of how you work; You work comfortably in English within a distributed team;Mobile-first and accessibility experience is a strong plus;A banking or fintech background helps but isn’t required.HIRING PROCESS1. Screening call with SPG Recruiting;2. SPG technical interview;3. Final round with the client team;End-to-end on the SPG side: about 2 weeks.Specific-Group is an equal opportunity employer.
