Marzan Fashion is looking for Senior Merchandiser - Knit & WovenJob Description / ResponsibilityBuyer Communication & Relationship ManagementCommunicate with international buyers regarding inquiries, orders, product development, and shipment schedules.Maintain strong relationships with buyers, buying houses, and overseas representatives.Handle buyer comments, approvals, requirements, and complaints professionally.Order ManagementManage the complete merchandising process from order inquiry to final shipment for knit and woven garments.Prepare order sheets, order confirmations, production plans, and critical path timelines.Monitor order status and ensure on-time delivery according to buyer requirements.Costing & PricingPrepare garment costing, quotations, and price negotiations.Calculate fabric consumption, yarn consumption, trims, accessories, printing, embroidery, washing, and other production costs.Negotiate prices with buyers and suppliers to achieve target profitability.Product Development & SamplingCoordinate product development, tech packs, samples, and counter samples.Follow up on fit samples, size sets, pre-production samples, and shipment samples.Ensure products meet buyer specifications, quality standards, and approved samples.Fabric, Yarn & Accessories SourcingCoordinate sourcing of knit fabrics, woven fabrics, yarn, trims, and accessories.Follow up with mills and suppliers for prices, lab dips, strike-offs, fabric bookings, and delivery schedules.Ensure materials meet buyer requirements and production deadlines.Production Planning & Follow-upCoordinate with planning, knitting, dyeing, cutting, sewing, finishing, and quality-control departments.Monitor production progress against the approved time and action calendar.Identify delays, communicate risks, and take corrective action to maintain delivery schedules.Quality Assurance & ComplianceEnsure garments meet approved specifications, measurement charts, workmanship standards, and buyer quality requirements.Coordinate inspections, testing, fabric quality checks, and corrective actions.Follow up on buyer compliance, testing, and documentation requirements.Shipment & Export DocumentationCoordinate with commercial, logistics, and shipping departments to arrange timely shipment.Follow up on packing lists, invoices, inspection reports, shipping instructions, and other required documents.Monitor shipment deadlines and communicate shipment status to buyers.Team Coordination & LeadershipGuide junior merchandisers and merchandising assistants.Allocate tasks, monitor performance, and ensure accurate reporting.Coordinate with management and cross-functional departments to resolve order-related issues.Reporting & Business DevelopmentPrepare order status reports, costing sheets, T&A plans, and shipment forecasts.Monitor order profitability, material utilization, and delivery performance.Support management in developing new buyers, increasing order volume, and improving merchandising efficiency.Educational RequirementsBachelor/Honors[BGMEA University of Fashion Technology ]students will get preferenceExperience Requirements10 to 15 year(s)Additional RequirementsMust be honest and trustworthy and maintain strong professional ethics.Must be hardworking, sincere, responsible, and dedicated to assigned duties.
