Nasoft is hiring a Senior PHP Laravel Engineer for a Software House to our client in Saudi Arabia ,with strong technical expertise in PHP, Laravel, database design, software architecture, and automated testing.The ideal candidate has hands-on experience building and maintaining large-scale, scalable applications, particularly SaaS platforms and ERP systems, and can translate complex business requirements into reliable, secure, and maintainable solutions.The candidate should demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, ownership, and the ability to collaborate effectively within an Agile development team while maintaining high engineering standards.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, test, and maintain scalable backend applications using PHP and LaravelBuild and maintain RESTful APIs and integrate third-party servicesDevelop and optimize complex database queries using Laravel Eloquent ORM and Query BuilderDesign efficient database schemas, relationships, indexes, and transactionsApply SOLID principles, design patterns, and clean code practicesDevelop and maintain automated unit, feature, and integration testsEnsure code quality, security, performance, scalability, and maintainabilityIdentify and resolve technical issues, bugs, and performance bottlenecksParticipate in code reviews and provide constructive technical feedbackCollaborate with frontend engineers, QA engineers, DevOps, business analysts, and other stakeholdersParticipate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectivesContribute to technical documentation and continuous improvement of development processesRequirementsAt least 5 years of professional experience developing applications with PHP and LaravelStrong knowledge of PHP 8+ and modern PHP development practicesSolid understanding of programming fundamentals, including algorithms, data structures, problem-solving, time and space complexity, and memory managementStrong understanding of OOP principles, including encapsulation, inheritance, polymorphism, and abstractionProven hands-on experience developing and maintaining large-scale, scalable applications, including SaaS platforms and/or ERP systemsExperience handling complex business workflows, system architecture, performance optimization, data integrity, and high-volume data processingStrong practical experience with Laravel features, including Eloquent ORM, Query Builder, migrations, middleware, service providers, queues, events, jobs, and task schedulingAdvanced SQL skills, including complex queries, joins, subqueries, aggregations, relationships, and query optimization using Eloquent and Query BuilderStrong experience with MySQL and/or PostgreSQL, including database design, indexing, transactions, and performance tuningExperience designing and developing RESTful APIs and integrating third-party servicesStrong understanding of SOLID principles, common design patterns, clean code, and maintainable software architecturePractical experience writing and maintaining automated unit, feature, and integration tests using PHPUnit or PestStrong understanding of software testing principles, TDD concepts, and QA best practicesCommitment to writing or updating automated tests for all new features and modified existing functionalityExperience using Git, branching strategies, pull requests, and code review workflowsGood understanding of application security, authentication, authorization, validation, and common web vulnerabilitiesStrong debugging and troubleshooting skills, including diagnosing and resolving production issuesExperience working in Agile/Scrum teams and participating in related ceremoniesStrong communication, collaboration, ownership, and technical problem-solving skillsExperience with CI/CD pipelines and automated quality checksExperience with Redis, caching strategies, queues, and background processingFamiliarity with Docker and containerized development environmentsExperience working with multi-tenant SaaS architecturesExperience with ERP systems, accounting workflows, inventory management, or other complex business domainsFamiliarity with static analysis tools such as PHPStan and code formatting tools such as Laravel PintExperience with cloud platforms such as AWSTechnical SkillsBackend: PHP 8+, Laravel, RESTful APIsProgramming: OOP, algorithms, data structures, SOLID, design patternsDatabase: MySQL and/or PostgreSQL, SQL optimization, schema designLaravel Data Access: Eloquent ORM, Query Builder, relationships, transactionsTesting: PHPUnit or Pest, unit testing, feature testing, integration testing, TDD conceptsCode Quality: Clean code, static analysis, code reviews, refactoringTools: Git, Composer, Docker, CI/CDArchitecture: Scalable systems, SaaS applications, ERP systems, performance optimizationWays of Working: Agile, Scrum, cross-functional collaborationBenefitsWorking Condition :Working Days : 5 days / weekWorking hours : 9AM : 6 pmWorking Model : Remotely
