Senior Regulatory Food Specialist

Role Description The Senior Regulatory Food Specialist role is a part-time, hybrid position based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, with flexibility for some work from home. The specialist reviews and interprets food safety regulations, labeling requirements, and compliance standards applicable to food and beverage products in local and international markets. Day-to-day responsibilities include assessing product formulations and preparation processes, preparing regulatory documentation and submissions, and ensuring all food service operations align with relevant laws and industry guidelines. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, advising on regulatory implications of new products or menu changes, and updating internal policies to reflect evolving standards. The specialist also conducts internal audits, supports training on regulatory compliance, and provides clear communication to stakeholders on risks and recommended actions.Qualifications Strong expertise in Food Preparation, Cooking, and Food & Beverage operations, with the ability to assess processes for regulatory compliance.Experience in Food Service environments, including understanding of hygiene standards, quality controls, and operational workflows.Excellent Communication skills to interpret regulations, prepare clear documentation, and collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations, labeling laws, and compliance requirements in the UAE and international markets.Proven experience in a regulatory, quality assurance, or food safety role, preferably in the food and beverage industry.Relevant academic background in Food Science, Nutrition, Public Health, or a related discipline is preferred.Strong analytical and attention-to-detail skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects in a part-time, hybrid work setting.Proficiency with documentation tools and basic data management; familiarity with regulatory submission platforms is an advantage.
