Senior Ruby on Rails **

We are seeking a Senior Full-Stack Developer with strong expertise in Ruby on Rails and React with TypeScript to join our team in Riyadh. You will build and maintain secure, reliable, and maintainable web applications — including REST APIs, databases, background processing, and responsive user interfaces.⚠️ Important Requirement: Prior experience working on government projects is required.Key ResponsibilitiesBackend — Ruby on RailsDevelop and maintain Rails applications using clean, modular, maintainable code.Design, implement, and document REST APIs for web, mobile, and external integrations.Design database schemas, manage migrations, and optimize queries and indexes.Implement authentication, session management, and role-based access control.Build scheduled and asynchronous background jobs (notifications, reporting, data imports).Apply secure coding practices and resolve security vulnerabilities.Diagnose and improve performance, caching, and resource utilization.Quality & TeamWrite automated tests for backend logic, APIs, frontend components, and critical journeys.Review code and enforce agreed development standards.Support deployment, monitoring, and production troubleshooting.Maintain technical documentation and mentor junior developers.Qualifications and ExperienceBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.5+ years in web development, including:3+ years with Ruby on Rails2+ years hands-on with React and TypeScriptStrong knowledge of Ruby, OOP, and MVC architecture.Experience with PostgreSQL or MySQL.Proven experience developing APIs and integrating third-party services.Experience with automated testing and Git-based workflows.Proven experience integrating a Rails backend with a React frontend.Strong knowledge of JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.Proven experience on government projects (required).
