Our platform, X-One, leverages Generative AI and Agentic AI technologies to transform complex financial processes, including KYC, AML, Trade Finance Automation and Insurance Claims Processing.We are looking for an experienced Software Architect to drive the architecture and technical direction of our AI-native banking platform, ensuring our solutions are scalable, secure and aligned with the needs of financial institutions.Role OverviewAs a Software Architect, you will be responsible for defining and overseeing the software architecture, translating business and product requirements into robust technical solutions, and guiding engineering teams throughout the development lifecycle.The ideal candidate combines strong software architecture capabilities with a solid understanding of banking and financial services. You should also have experience working closely with product teams, stakeholders and engineering teams to deliver enterprise-grade software solutions.Key Responsibilities1. Software Architecture & DesignDefine and drive the overall software architecture and technical direction of the platform.Design scalable, secure, modular and high-performance software systems.Establish architectural standards, design principles and best practices across development teams.Evaluate technology stacks, frameworks and architectural approaches to support long-term platform development.Ensure system integration, interoperability and performance across enterprise applications.2. Banking & Financial ServicesTranslate complex banking and financial services requirements into scalable technical solutions.Leverage domain knowledge in areas such as Trade Finance, Payments, KYC, AML, Risk Management or other banking operations.Understand banking workflows, regulatory requirements and enterprise technology environments.Design solutions that meet the security, compliance and operational requirements of financial institutions.3. Product & Technical LeadershipWork closely with Product Owners, business stakeholders and engineering teams to translate product requirements into technical architecture.Provide technical guidance throughout the product development lifecycle.Review technical designs, architecture decisions and implementation approaches.Identify technical risks, dependencies and opportunities for improvement.Drive architectural decisions and communicate technical concepts effectively to technical and non-technical stakeholders.4. AI & Emerging TechnologiesExplore and incorporate Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs) and Agentic AI capabilities into enterprise software architecture.Evaluate AI integration approaches, APIs and orchestration frameworks.Ensure AI-enabled solutions meet enterprise requirements for security, scalability, reliability and governance.RequirementsBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or a related discipline.Minimum 8–10 years of experience in software engineering, system design or enterprise application development, with relevant experience in software architecture.Strong experience designing and implementing enterprise-scale software architectures.Solid understanding of banking, financial services or other regulated industry environments.Experience working with Product Owners, business stakeholders and cross-functional engineering teams.Strong knowledge of modern software architecture principles, microservices, API design and distributed systems.Experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS, Azure or Google Cloud.Proficiency in modern programming languages and technology stacks.Understanding of database architecture, system integration, security and performance optimisation.Strong communication, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.Good to HaveExperience in Trade Finance, Payments, KYC, AML or banking operations.Exposure to Generative AI, LLMs, RAG and Agentic AI architectures.Experience building AI-native or AI-enabled enterprise platforms.Familiarity with banking regulations, data privacy and financial services security standards.Experience in cloud-native architecture, containerisation, Kubernetes and DevOps practices.Previous experience in a technical leadership or architecture decision-making role.What We OfferOpportunity to shape the architecture of a next-generation AI-native banking platform.Exposure to cutting-edge Generative AI and Agentic AI technologies.Work on complex challenges within the banking and insurance industries.Collaboration with an international team of technology and financial services professionals.Opportunity to influence product and technology strategy.
