Software Test Engineer with 5+ years of experience in software testing, preferably within the medical device. The candidate will perform manual testing, verify software requirements, identify defects, prepare testing documentation and provide technical leadership to software test engineers.
Key Responsibilities
Draft and execute formal test protocols.Plan and coordinate formal testing schedules and test cycles.Identify, document and track software defects through resolution.Prepare weekly testing metrics and present reports.Participate in Defect Review Board meetings.Collaborate with Software Quality Engineers on features and defect resolution.Maintain digital records of tasks, bugs and project requests.Provide technical guidance to Software Test Engineers.Required Skills & Qualifications:5+ years of software testing experience in medical devices or a regulated industry.Bachelor's degree in Biomedical, Mechatronics, Computer Engineering or a related field.Strong experience in Manual Testing, Verification & Validation (V&V), Design Controls and SDLC.Knowledge of FDA, ISO 13485, ISO 14971, IEC 62304 and EU MDR.Experience with hardware testing and test equipment such as oscilloscopes and multimeters.Familiarity with SolidWorks, Python, LabVIEW or MATLAB.Experience drafting formal requirements and performing risk assessments and mitigation.
