Company Description Khor Khye Hing Constructions Sdn Bhd (KKH) is a Penang-based civil and infrastructure contractor with over 50 years of experience in earthworks, road and drainage construction, and machinery rental. With decades of hands-on industry experience, KKH combines established operational know-how with the capability to handle projects of different sizes and complexity.Role Description The Site Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Penang, Malaysia. The role involves supervising daily site operations, coordinating with civil engineers, subcontractors, and site teams to ensure work progresses according to design, schedule, and safety standards. The Site Engineer will oversee quality control checks, verify structural works against drawings and specifications, and assist in resolving technical and operational issues on site. Responsibilities include preparing site reports, maintaining documentation, supporting project planning, and communicating effectively with project stakeholders to ensure timely completion of work. The role also requires monitoring site resources, ensuring compliance with environmental and safety regulations, and supporting continuous improvement of site processes.Qualifications Strong on-site supervision skills and ability to work effectively in a field-based environment.Effective communication skills for coordinating with engineers, clients, subcontractors, and site personnel.Experience in quality control, including inspection of works and adherence to specifications and standards.Knowledge of structural engineering principles and practical application in civil and infrastructure projects.Background in civil engineering, preferably with experience working alongside civil engineers on construction sites.Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Civil Engineering or related field, or equivalent practical experience.Familiarity with construction drawings, project documentation, and basic project scheduling.Understanding of workplace safety, environmental regulations, and compliance requirements in construction.Ability to problem-solve on site, manage time effectively, and adapt to changing project needs.
