We pride ourselves on delivering durable, comfortable, and reliable solutions to our clients.Job PurposeResponsible for the development, maintenance, support, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of software applications and industrial machine systems within the manufacturing environment.The role combines Software Engineering and Industrial Software Engineering, with responsibility for software applications, databases, system integration, Industrial PCs, machine-related software, HMI/SCADA systems, and IT/OT connectivity.The position works closely with IT, Production, Maintenance, Engineering, and machine vendors to ensure the reliability, availability, security, and effective integration of software and industrial systems supporting manufacturing operations.Key Accountabilities1. Software Engineering & Application SupportDevelop, maintain, enhance, and support software applications according to business and operational requirements.Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into effective software solutions.Develop and maintain applications, utilities, and tools required to support manufacturing operations.Perform software testing, debugging, troubleshooting, and issue resolution.Develop and maintain databases and SQL queries required by applications and operational systems.Develop and maintain APIs and system interfaces where required.Manage software versions, configurations, updates, and application dependencies.Maintain appropriate technical documentation, source code, configurations, and system specifications.Identify opportunities to improve application performance, reliability, usability, and maintainability.2. Industrial Software & Machine SystemsSupport and maintain software applications used for the operation, monitoring, and control of industrial machines and production equipment.Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot software running on Industrial PCs and machine operator workstations.Support machine-related applications, including HMI, SCADA, and other industrial software platforms.Troubleshoot software and communication issues between industrial machines, controllers, Industrial PCs, and related systems.Maintain machine software configurations, parameters, licenses, backups, and critical system files.Support machine software installation, commissioning, upgrades, migrations, and replacements.Maintain software compatibility between machine applications, operating systems, hardware, and related industrial components.Coordinate with machine manufacturers and software vendors to resolve complex technical issues.3. IT/OT IntegrationSupport the integration between Information Technology (IT) and Operational Technology (OT) environments.Support the exchange of data between machines, production systems, databases, and enterprise applications.Develop or support solutions for automated collection, processing, and reporting of machine and production data.Support integration with systems such as SAP, MES, databases, BI/reporting platforms, and other enterprise applications where applicable.Support industrial communication technologies and protocols such as OPC/OPC UA where applicable.Work with Network and Infrastructure teams to ensure reliable connectivity between industrial systems and approved IT systems.4. Manufacturing & Production SupportProvide technical software support to Production, Maintenance, Engineering, and other manufacturing teams.Respond to software-related incidents that may affect machine availability or production continuity.Analyze recurring issues and implement corrective and preventive solutions.Participate in machine installation, commissioning, testing, and acceptance activities from the software and IT/OT perspective.Support production during critical software incidents and planned maintenance activities.Ensure appropriate change management procedures are followed before implementing changes to production systems.5. Backup, Recovery & Business ContinuityMaintain reliable backups of machine software, configurations, databases, applications, and critical system files.Periodically verify the integrity and recoverability of backups.Maintain recovery procedures for critical machine-related software and systems.Support disaster recovery and business continuity activities for critical industrial applications.6. Cybersecurity & ComplianceApply IT and OT cybersecurity requirements to machine-related software and Industrial PCs.Coordinate with the Cybersecurity team to identify and mitigate cybersecurity risks affecting industrial systems.Ensure appropriate controls are applied to software installation, access, updates, remote access, and system changes.Support vulnerability remediation and security patching in accordance with approved procedures and production requirements.Ensure compliance with company IT policies, cybersecurity standards, and change management procedures.7. Vendor & Stakeholder ManagementCoordinate with machine manufacturers, software vendors, system integrators, and external technical support providers.Define and communicate technical requirements to vendors.Follow up on technical issues, software updates, patches, licenses, and support agreements.Participate in technical evaluations and acceptance testing of new machine software and systems.Maintain appropriate technical documentation and vendor information.Technical Skills & CompetenciesSoftware EngineeringProgramming and software development.Application development and maintenance.SQL and database management.API development and system integration.Software testing and debugging.Version control systems such as Git.Windows-based application environments.Industrial SystemsIndustrial PC configuration and support.HMI and SCADA systems.Basic understanding of PLCs and industrial automation.Machine control and monitoring software.Industrial communication and networking.OPC / OPC UA is an advantage.MES and manufacturing systems is an advantage.IT/OTUnderstanding of IT and OT environments.IT/OT system integration.Industrial networking fundamentals.Cybersecurity principles for industrial environments.Backup and recovery of industrial systems.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related field.Professional certifications in software development, industrial automation, networking, cybersecurity, or related technologies are an advantage.Experience3–5 years of relevant experience in software engineering, industrial software, application support, or a similar role.Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment is preferred.Experience supporting Industrial PCs and machine-related software.Experience with HMI, SCADA, PLC-related systems, databases, or industrial automation is an advantage.Experience in IT/OT integration and manufacturing systems is an advantage.Behavioral & Professional CompetenciesStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities.Ability to work under pressure, particularly during production-critical incidents.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work effectively with IT, Production, Maintenance, and Engineering teams.Ability to communicate effectively with machine manufacturers and external vendors.Strong documentation and organizational skills.Attention to detail and commitment to system reliability.Ability to learn new technologies and industrial software platforms.Strong sense of responsibility and ownershi
