Software Quality Tester

Role - Software Quality TesterJOB PURPOSE : SQA tester is responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability and compliance of all software applications and systems used in the bank, with a particular focus on Islamic banking principles. The role involves testing Enterprise Fraud Risk Management System (EFRMS), Device Intelligence and Behavior Analytics. (DI & BA) systems and their interfaces like Core Banking, Internet & Mobile Banking, FOS/LOS, Payment. Systems like AANI and other channels to verify functionality, security and alignment with Sharia-compliantproducts. Tester to have strong technical testing skills combined with a solid understanding of Islamic financial operations and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

Design, develop and execute manual and automated test caseto ensure the quality of software applicationsConduct functional, regression, integration testing for productsand services.Validate modules in Enterprise Fraud Risk ManagementSystem (EFRMS) and Device Intelligence and BehaviorAnalytics (DI & BA) along with interfaces like Core Banking,Internet & Mobile Banking, FOS/LOS, Payment Systems likeAANI and other channels.Reviews new or modified program, including documentation,diagram, and flow chart, to determine if program will performaccording to user request and conform to guidelines.Recommend program improvements or corrections toprogrammers.Perform API and backend database testing to ensure dataintegrity across modules.Record, document and track defects using a defectmanagement tool e.g. ALM, JiraCoordinate with developers to reproduce issues and verifydefect fixes § User satisfaction is ensured in an error free environment. § Test coverage and defect detection rate § Collaboration effectiveness and documentation quality § Adherence to release schedules and QA standards § User satisfaction is ensured in an error free environment. § Problems are solved in a professional and timely manner. § Coordination between various IT Team.Identifies differences between establishment standards and user applications and suggests modifications to conform to standards. § Sets up tests at request of user to locate and correct program operating error following installation of program. § Awareness of change management process and Defects Management Process followed in ITQUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:Bachelor of Computer Science or Information Technology Software Engineering or related fields.Preferred certification or coursework in Islamic Finance/BankingMinimum Experience:3- 5 years of experience .in software testing or quality assurance in the banking industryHands on experience in Enterprise Fraud Risk Management System (EFRMS), Device Intelligence andBehavior Analytics (DI & BA), Core Banking applications, Internet & Mobile Banking, Payment Systems,FOS/LOS and other channels.Proficiency in performance testing, test automation tools and test management systems.Familiar with SQL, API Testing and basic scriptingHaving testing certification e.g ISTQB foundation Level or CSTE Certified Software TesterTesting Skills Experience:understanding SDLC and STLCexperience in Test Planning and Strategyexperience in test case designDefect ManagementTesting types KnowledgeAutomation testingPersonal CompetenciesAnalytical mindsetExcellent communication and documentation abilitiesAbility to work collaboratively in cross function team
