Tax Manager

HireHero is looking for an experienced Tax Manager on behalf of a leading Group of Companies operating in the Construction sector. This is a senior, hands-on role for a tax professional who will take full ownership of the Group’s tax function, working closely with senior management and reporting directly to the CFO.What You’ll Be Doing

• Take full ownership of the Group’s tax matters, ensuring compliance with Greek tax legislation and regulatory requirements
• Oversee corporate income tax, VAT, withholding taxes and all relevant tax obligations
• Review tax returns, reconciliations and supporting documentation, ensuring accuracy and timely submission
• Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess their impact on the Group’s operations and projects
• Manage and coordinate tax audits and communication with tax authorities, external auditors and tax advisors
• Provide tax guidance on construction projects, contracts, investments and corporate transactions
• Identify potential tax exposures and proactively manage tax risks
• Handle transfer pricing and intercompany tax matters, where applicable
• Partner closely with the CFO, Accounting, Finance and Legal functions on complex tax matters
• Drive improvements in tax processes, controls and documentation across the GroupWhat We’re Looking For
• 10+ years of professional experience in Tax, ideally within a large corporate environment, construction/real estate sector or a leading tax advisory firm
• University degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related field
• Excellent knowledge of Greek tax legislation, corporate taxation and VAT
• Strong experience in tax compliance and tax audits
• Previous exposure to complex corporate structures and/or Groups of Companies
• Experience within the Construction or Real Estate sector will be considered a strong advantage
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and ability to independently manage complex tax matters
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
