Jinasena Pvt Ltd is a leading Sri Lankan engineering company specializing in water management solutions including pumps, water purification, irrigation, and related engineering services. The company operates both a head office and multiple sales centers, along with a manufacturing facility in Ekala, serving customers across the country.We are looking for a suitable qualified person to join the company as Transport Assistant Manager / Manager
Responsibilities
Plan, coordinate, and manage overall transport operations including staff transport, logistics vehicles, and hired fleets to ensure smooth daily operations.Oversee vehicle maintenance, servicing, documentation, GPS tracking, and ensure compliance with all statutory requirements.Monitor fuel usage, vehicle performance, and operational costs while implementing controls to prevent misuse and improve efficiency.Supervise and manage the transportation team, ensuring discipline, safety, performance standards, and proper driver management.Handle operational incidents including breakdowns, emergencies, accidents, and after-hours requirements, ensuring timely resolution and minimal disruption.
Qualifications
Diploma or Professional Qualification in Logistic/ Transport ManagementDiploma in Auto Mobile Engineering will be a definite advantage.Good knowledge of MS Office applications and transport documentation.Experience:3–5 years’ experience in transport or fleet management in a manufacturing, construction, or logistics environment.Proven experience managing a mixed fleet (light, heavy, and commercial vehicles).Experience supervising drivers, mechanics, or transport assistants.
