Transport Manager

We are seeking an experienced Transport Manager to oversee our regional cargo collection and transportation operations across the UAE, Oman, and other Middle Eastern markets, while optimizing transportation costs and ensuring efficient execution of regional logistics activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Fleet Management: Oversee and manage a large fleet of 80 - 100 or more trucks, ensuring efficient utilization, availability, deployment, and operational performance.- Regional Cargo Collection: Manage and coordinate the collection and transportation of both containerized cargo and loose material from suppliers, warehouses, yards, industrial facilities, and other designated locations across the UAE, Oman, and other Middle Eastern markets.- Transportation & Logistics Planning: Plan and supervise daily truck deployment, route allocation, scheduling, loading, collection, and delivery activities for both containerized and loose cargo.- Fleet Utilization & Productivity: Monitor truck utilization, turnaround times, trip frequency, vehicle productivity, and overall fleet performance.- Driver & Workforce Management: Supervise drivers, transport coordinators, dispatchers, and other logistics personnel, ensuring effective workforce planning and operational discipline.- Vehicle Maintenance & Availability: Oversee preventive maintenance, repairs, vehicle inspections, breakdown management, and fleet availability to minimize operational disruptions.* Cost Management: Monitor and control transportation costs, fuel consumption, maintenance expenses, driver costs, and other fleet-related operating expenses.- Operational Coordination: Coordinate with suppliers, cargo collection points, warehouses, shipping lines, ports, and other relevant stakeholders to ensure smooth cargo movements.- Compliance & Safety: Ensure compliance with applicable UAE, Oman, and other relevant regional transportation regulations, vehicle licensing, driver requirements, and road safety standards.- Performance Monitoring: Establish operational KPIs and reporting systems to monitor fleet efficiency, collection performance, delivery timelines, and logistics costs.Required Experience, Skills and Qualifications:- Must be currently based in the UAE.- Minimum 12 - 15 years of relevant experience in transportation and fleet management across the UAE, Oman, and/or other Middle Eastern markets.- Proven experience managing large-scale truck fleets, preferably comprising 80 - 100 or more trucks, in the collection and transportation of both containerized cargo and loose material.- Experience managing drivers, transport coordinators, dispatch teams, and other operational personnel.- Strong understanding of fleet utilization, route planning, vehicle maintenance, fuel management, transportation costs, and operational KPIs.- Strong leadership, organizational, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.- Excellent coordination and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple operational teams and stakeholders.
