Warehouse Logistics Manager

Principal Accountabilities: The Warehouse & Logistics Manager is responsible for managing warehouse operations, inventory, procurement, logistics, fleet and associated facilities. The role ensures efficient resource utilization, accurate stock control and compliance with company safety, security and environmental standards while supervising warehouse personnel, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders and driving operational improvements.Key responsibilities:1. Warehouse OperationsOversee daily operations across all indoor and outdoor warehouse and storage facilities.Supervise material receiving, loading, unloading, storage, handling and dispatch activities.Ensure warehouse facilities, equipment, and infrastructure are maintained in a safe and operational condition.Optimize warehouse layout, storage capacity and material accessibility.Coordinate maintenance of warehouse facilities, equipment and infrastructure.Maintain housekeeping standards and ensure compliance with operational procedures.2. Warehouse Stock ManagementManage and control inventory using SAP (procurement and logistics modules).Process stock movements, transfers, returns, and inventory adjustments in the ERP system.Maintain optimal stock levels to support operational and project requirements.Conduct periodic stock counts and inventory audits; investigate variances and implement corrective actions.Coordinate asset disposal and scrapping of obsolete or damaged items, ensuring proper approvals.Ensure inventory records and asset registers are updated following disposal or scrapping.Compile monthly reports on inventory levels and asset movements.Manage and control inventory records and stock transactions through SAP, including receipts, transfers, returns and adjustments.Maintain accurate stock levels and ensure material availability for operational requirements.Conduct periodic stock counts and audits, investigate discrepancies and implement corrective actions.Coordinate approved disposal and scrapping of obsolete or damaged materials and assets.Maintain inventory records and prepare periodic stock and asset movement reports.3. Procurement & Purchasing SupportObtain quotations, negotiate commercial terms and raise Purchase Orders through SAP for operational requirements.Source materials, spare parts, uniforms, PPE and outsourced fabrication services.Monitor stock availability and coordinate replenishment and distribution of operational supplies.Manage supplier relationships, service quality and timely delivery of goods and services.Maintain adequate stock levels of uniforms and PPE and manage replacements.4. Logistics & Equipment CoordinationPlan and coordinate material transportation, shipments and logistics requirements.Arrange rental of trucks, MEWPs, forklifts, scaffolding and other operational equipment.Coordinate equipment operator training, licensing and certification.Ensure all hired equipment and logistics activities meet operational and safety requirements.5. Fleet ManagementCoordinate vehicle servicing, repairs and maintenance through approved service providers.Manage fleet-related Purchase Orders, maintenance records and service follow-ups.Ensure timely renewal of vehicle registrations, insurance, advertising permits and regulatory certifications.Monitor fleet utilization, maintenance costs and associated documentation.6. Security & ComplianceCoordinate maintenance of warehouse CCTV, security and fire protection systems through approved AMC service providers.Ensure compliance with applicable SIRA and Dubai Civil Defence requirements.Coordinate renewal of relevant NOCs, permits and certifications.Maintain security, fire safety and regulatory compliance records.7. Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)Ensure compliance with company Health & Safety policies, procedures, and HSE standards.Monitor warehouse operations to ensure safe working practices and correct use of equipment and PPE.Coordinate maintenance, inspection, and certification of forklifts, lifting equipment, and warehouse tools.Report HSE‑related issues, near misses, and incidents, and coordinate corrective actions with relevant departments.Support internal and external HSE audits and inspections and implement agreed action plans.8. Environmental & Sustainability ManagementCoordinate waste segregation, collection, disposal and recycling activities.Maintain waste tracking records and prepare environmental reports.Support company sustainability objectives and environmental compliance requirements.9. Reporting & AdministrationMaintain warehouse documentation, operational records, databases and filing systems.Prepare periodic operational, procurement, fleet and finance-related reports.Report operational issues, discrepancies and corrective actions to the Lead Operations Manager.Coordinate administrative requirements and maintain accurate records for internal stakeholders.10. Continuous ImprovementIdentify and implement improvements to warehouse, inventory and logistics processes.Support SAP enhancements, digital reporting, dashboards and workflow automation initiatives.Develop and maintain standard operating procedures and work instructions to improve efficiency, accuracy and safety.Qualifications & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).Proven experience in warehouse, logistics, or supply chain management, including people management.Demonstrable experience in stock management and warehouse operations.SAP experience (procurement and logistics modules) – mandatory.Experience in fleet coordination and/or equipment rental management (preferred).Skills & CompetenciesStrong expertise in stock organization, warehousing, and inventory control.Hands‑on experience with SAP ERP (MM / logistics modules) for purchasing and inventory management.Good knowledge of equipment and tools (e.g. forklifts, MEWPs, scaffolding, lifting gear).Familiarity with spare parts, technical references, and basic technical terminology.Computer literate with strong MS Excel skills; ability to use AI tools and digital platforms.Sound knowledge of Health & Safety rules; IOSH Managing Safely certificate preferred.First Aid training/certification preferred.Strong planning, coordination, and problem‑solving skills.Self‑driven, proactive, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.Strong communication skills and ability to coordinate with multiple internal departments and external suppliers.Ability to lead, motivate, and supervise warehouse and logistics staff.Licences & CertificationsValid driving licence.Forklift truck driving licence preferred
