The developer will create responsive themes and templates, implement front-end designs, and ensure cross-browser and cross-device compatibility. Daily responsibilities include developing custom plugins and integrations, optimizing site performance and security, and troubleshooting technical issues. The role also requires collaborating with designers, project managers, and other developers to translate business requirements into functional, user-friendly solutions. The WordPress Developer will participate in code reviews, follow best practices, and stay current with WordPress updates and modern web development trends.Qualifications Candidates should possess strong Web Development and Back-End Web Development skills, including experience with WordPress core, custom plugins, APIs, and database integration.Candidates should possess Front-End Development skills, including proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and implementing WordPress themes based on UI/UX designs.Candidates should possess Responsive Web Design and Web Design skills, with the ability to create accessible, mobile-friendly interfaces that align with brand and usability standards.Candidates should possess general Web Development skills, including performance optimization, security best practices, version control (e.g., Git), and cross-browser testing.Relevant experience with PHP, MySQL, and modern build tools (e.g., npm, webpack) is beneficial.Experience working in remote, distributed teams, with strong communication, documentation, and time management skills.Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.Prior experience in an agency or product development environment and exposure to SEO, analytics, and accessibility standards is a plus.
