Accountant

Awtad, a prominent real estate development company in Saudi Arabia, is in search of a dedicated and skilled Accountant to enhance our financial team. This role is crucial to maintain the integrity of financial operations and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. The successful candidate will be responsible for various accounting functions, supporting financial reporting and analysis to driveResponsibilitiesManage and monitor suppliers' and contractors' accounts related to projectsReview contracts, payment certificates, and invoices to ensure they comply with agreements, purchase orders, and payment termsReconcile supplier and contractor balances and perform the necessary accounting adjustmentsMonitor project costs, operating expenses, and petty cash transactionsReview due payments, amounts paid, and outstanding balances for each projectRecord project-related journal entries and ensure the accuracy of financial documentsFollow up on invoices and payments and coordinate with suppliers, contractors, and relevant departmentsPrepare periodic financial reports covering project costs, expenses, and financial obligationsMonitor Value Added Tax (VAT) and electronic invoicing requirements in accordance with the regulations applicable in Saudi ArabiaPerform periodic accounting reconciliations and month-end and year-end closing activitiesMaintain and organize financial records and supporting documents related to projectsCoordinate with Finance and Operations departments to ensure data accuracy and compliance with accounting proceduresRequirementsBachelor's degree in AccountingPractical experience in accounting, preferably in project accounting or within contracting and operations companiesGood knowledge of supplier and contractor accountsExperience reviewing contracts, payment certificates, and invoices and matching them against paymentsAbility to reconcile account balances and perform accounting adjustmentsKnowledge of project cost monitoring, operating expenses, and petty cash managementKnowledge of VAT and electronic invoicing requirements in Saudi ArabiaProficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems; experience with Odoo is preferredStrong analytical and accounting skills, with excellent attention to detailStrong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneouslyBenefitsComprehensive Health Insurance Training and Professional Development Performance-based BonusPaid Time Off
