JOB TITLEArt Collection Research Assistant — Collections, Artists & Artwork ResearchABOUT THE JOBDe Art is an independent, internet-based visual arts media platform dedicated to sharing art, artists, and cultural knowledge with a wider audience.We are looking for a curious and detail-oriented Art Collection Research Assistant to help research publicly documented art collections and gather reliable information about artworks, artists, and collecting institutions. The role supports the development of accurate, informative, and engaging content for digital publication.RESPONSIBILITIES- Research publicly accessible museum, gallery, and institutional art collections.- Identify relevant artworks, artists, artistic movements, and collection histories.- Gather information from official collection records, institutional websites, catalogues, and other credible sources.- Cross-check artwork titles, artist names, dates, materials, and provenance information when available.- Record source links and references to support editorial accuracy.- Prepare concise research summaries for articles, features, and other digital content.- Identify opportunities to connect individual artworks with broader art-historical and cultural themes.- Flag conflicting information and distinguish documented facts from uncertain or unverified claims.- Organize research materials so they can be reviewed and reused by the editorial team.QUALIFICATIONS- A strong interest in visual arts, art history, museums, and public art collections.- Good online research and source-evaluation skills.- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to factual accuracy.- Clear written communication and the ability to summarize information concisely.- Familiarity with citation practices and research documentation.- Ability to work independently, organize research materials, and meet agreed deadlines.- Experience in art research, museum studies, cultural publishing, or related fields is an advantage.- Good English reading and writing skills; additional languages are a plus.WHAT WE OFFER- An opportunity to contribute to an independent digital visual arts media platform.- Practical experience in artwork research and cultural publishing.- Collaboration with an editorial team focused on art, artists, and visual culture.- An opportunity to develop research and digital content skills in an international art context.HOW TO APPLYPlease email the following materials to farhang@parsikia.ir:- A CV of no more than two pages.- A cover letter of no more than one page explaining your interest in the role.- Links to three relevant projects or examples of previous work, where available.- Contact details for two professional references, including their names, roles, and contact information.Shortlisted candidates will be invited to an interview and may be asked to complete a short, role-specific practical assignment.De Art welcomes applications from qualified candidates with diverse backgrounds who are passionate about visual arts, reliable research, and cultural knowledge.
